I get people being upset that they didn’t take Sewell but please don’t act like this means Burrow will get hurt for sure. He might and he might not but I think you Sewell fans should consider this - Chase was the higher rated prospect on the Bengals’ (and most people’s) board.
They took the higher rated player so good on them. O line will be addressed later for sure and they already signed Reiff so the line is already better than last year’s.

There will be plenty of options at 38. I had 13 guys I’d take as a day one starter and one is gone. There will be a run on defense at some point but one of those guys will be there at 38.

Wow...the butthurt Sewell supporters! If Bengals had selected Sewell I would have been like good we got the best O-lineman. We chose Chase and I'm like good we got the best wide receiver. It was a win win situation. Damn.

Can't speak for others, but I haven't underestimated anything about our moves.  I like the Reif signing, and I like Spain and XSF.  I like bringing Pollack back.  But Jonah hasn't passed the eye test for me, and it all starts with protecting the blind side.  4 games out of the season will feature TJ Watt and Miles Garrett on the blind side, and I don't see Williams holding up against that.  Sewell looked to be the kind of guy that could shut that shit down.  Think back to drafting Levi Jones.  Joey Porter was unstoppable when he would play against us.  Jones stepped in and shut Porter down from day one.  That's what needs to happen to get us back into regularly winning games.
