Johnston and Kareem could be cut for a WR or OT

Biggest surprise- Raymond Johnson- I think he can win the Nickle DT role.

don't count on that one...from Paul Dehner in The Athletic

An opportunity was put in front of the second-year running back this month. Take a leap and the third-down job could be his. These last two days were his latest opportunity as he got repeated run with the first-team offense, often entering ahead of Samaje Perine.

Evans has been inconsistent. He still shows impressive flashes, most obviously with his strength as a receiver. But overall running the ball and with the area he most needed to take a step in pass protection, he hasn’t quite gotten to the desired level that would force the staff to give him the gig.

I’d go with Browning over Allen but Allen has looked much better tonight. I’d also look for another guard to pick up. Carman is a disaster.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

There will be lineman getting cut by Tuesday who are better than Carman.

Time for the organisation to admit they messed up and get his arse out of here.

Ok here is my 53:

Offense:

QB- Burrow, Allen (2)
RB- Mixon, Perine, Evans, (deadline PR/KR pickup) (4)
WR- Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Taylor, Morgan, Thomas (6)
TE- Hurst, Sample, Wilcox (3)
OT- Collins, Williams, Prince, Smith (4)
OG- Cappa, Volson, Carmen (3)
OC- Karras, Hill, (2)
G/T swing (deadline trade or pickup) (1)
Specialists:

K- McMoney
LS- Harris
P- Crisman

Defense:

RDE- Hubbard, Kareem, Gunter (3)
NT- Reader, Topou, (2)
DT- Hill, Carter (2)
LDE- Hendrickson, Ossai, Sample (3)
LB- Wilson, Pratt, Bailey, ADG, Johnston (5)
CB- Hilton, Awuzie, Apple, Hill, CTB, Davis, (6)
S- Bell, Bates, Flowers, Anderson (4)

Cuts:
Huber, B.Wilson, Shelvin, Thomas(s)

thats my 51/ 53. I look for them to fill last 2 offensive spots via waiver wire or trades. most notably at offensive line and RB. I think Shelvin gets moved for 1 of these needs, the other is from cut down day

This is it, right here.

I’ve been trying to find a way to get Johnston in at LB, and I’d rather see Browning make it than Allen, but I know how much the Bengals love Allen. I think you’re maybe dead on with this one.

Carman didn’t look good tonight - thought the RG (Gilliam I think) looked much better out there. Will be interesting to see how the roster finalizes. Can’t wait for week 1

I think Taylor makes the team because of his punt return ability.  Pryor could make the team or be sent to the practice squad.  Neither option for Pryor would surprise me.

Looked no different than Volson last week.

Volson didnt look that great last week either and he played against the Giants starters.  Carman was improved but still needs major improvement.

The Bengals really need to sign a FA veteran LG this week because I dont see either Carman or Volson as the answer this season.

Volson looked ok against starters, Carman looked poor against 3rd string gave up on plays and just looked like he didn’t want to be there, how anyone can defend him anymore is laughable. Maybe it’s because he’s from Cincinnati and people want to see a home town kid succeed I don’t know.

Taylor just said we will see about him while talking up Volson so he’s already lost that battle question is now will he even make the 53.

It's going to be tough for the coaches at WR and defensive backs/safeties.  Trenton Irwin looked great tonight with 9 catches and Tycen Anderson flashed a lot of speed and potential.
