***2023 NFL Draft Thread***
The trade means they likely took off or severely dropped Washington and maybe Jones. Good they are getting a solid safety prospect that is NFL ready.

Clemson, Michigan, and now Alabama. Picking from some solid programs. 3 pick sixes? I trust Lou with this pick. Defensive depth is vastly improved.

I guess we didn't sign a free agent safety and draft Dax Hill to play safety last year.

Was he behind Bowers, yes, or no? Was he a backup at UGA,at the college level, yes, or no?

Battle was much better in 2021 when he was playing closer to the Line of Scrimage but was a solid deep safety. Versatility on defense. Gotta say this one feels like depth or insurance against player fit/development at their current safeties.

You realize there are still 4 rounds left and cuts coming right?

Hated the stealers getting DW but loved the Jordan Battle addition. Thought we were better at Safety with the Brick
Scott addition but Michael Thomas is getting up there and Battle could be great, can cover and hit. Good night overall.

Rock On

It’s a 2024 draft. Defense loses most of the starters next season.

Really? Really? Not like we have a RT who doesn’t want to play for us a TE who appears to be made of glass or a RB who falls over with a strong breeze.

Maybe an over reaction but tonight hasn’t been great.

Maybe?

Maybe Lou will let the O use the pick from KC

Bengals FO has an obvious plan. Bengals fans don't understand it and don't know the entire picture...are freaking out. Straight comedy.

Relax everyone. This staff deserves the benefit of the doubt. A lot smarter, informed, and know what's going on inside the building than you and me.

I guess that is why this offense is so terrible. I sure wish they would address it   Ninja

Yep. I've been trying to tell people this.

It's not out of the realm of possibilities we can get a RB and/or TE in free agency later after cuts. I would be a little more concerned with our RB situation as I have not be impressed with Mixon in some time. TE we can survive with.

From what people are saying we are targeting a specific guy here in the next 2 rounds hopefully they get the guy they want.

I wanted Washington, but going heavy on defense makes a lot of sense. All the money will be spent on the offensive side of the ball soon.

It's obvious that the Bengals see value at TE in the later rounds (think Whyle from Cincinnati in round 5 or 6) and they are content with Mixon or going to get a late rounder and sign (Elliot)/Trade (Swift/Allgeier) to shore up the RB room.
