I was just here to say the same thing.

Shame his life was ruined. I'd say he should sue her for the millions he lost with her accusations, but she'll never be able to pay him what would have set him and his future family and kids up for life.

There should be consequences. Our system needs to take these accusations seriously, but slow down on the judgement some. The false accusations really hurt true cases and victims.

As long as dude controls the snaps (Punt/XP/FG) I can live with a couple short punts.

It’s not the system’s fault, it’s society’s fault. Accusations alone are enough to convince the majority of people that a man is guilty. Most people don’t believe in innocence until proven guilty. They just think it’s something the government should adhere to.

He dropped his lawsuit against her in exchange for her dropping her lawsuit.

He did admit to having sex with the 17-year-old. Since he was 21, it could have been considered statutory rape, but it is not statutory rape if he reasonably believed she was 18 or older at the time, and apparently there is one witness who testified that she said at the party she was 18, as well as video from another party where she said she was 18. She did had voluntary sex with other men as well that night, which was on video, but Araiza wasn't in the house at the time she said she was raped by several men. Her point was she was drunk and couldn't consent. I cringed at this part: "one of the videos appeared to show her braces cutting one of the men during oral sex, possibly explaining the blood." one of the men with the video is being charged with child pornography, since she was 17.

Here is a very thorough account:

It's not pretty any way you look at it.  Robbins is dead last in EPA/play (Expected Points Added per Play) and near the bottom of all other statistical categories.

If I understand this chart correctly, he is costing us 0.2 pts every time he punts.

I wonder why we hung onto Huber after his rookie season.

Huber was just as bad as Robbins has been this year, last I saw both of their numbers.

Huber improved and became our best Punter ever. Rookie must mean something. Mellow

Ok what does it mean? What is the difference between kicking in college and the pros? I’m open to having my mind changed, but I don’t see it.

Tennessee loses one of the top punters in the NFL to an injury and has to replace him with a guy that was at the bottom with Robbins.   Doesnt seem fair.

Even with Araiza having the lawsuit dropped against him, there is still a lot of iffy behavior surrounding that whole situation.  It wouldnt surprise me if teams still stayed away from him.

This thread again?

The punt game is fine. He’s a rookie and he’s got the 3rd best return average in nfl.

Some of yall would shit your pants if you saw Hubers rookie stats

Yes this thread again because Robbins continues to do a very poor job punting.

You are not going to get a lot of return yards when you are punting the ball 19 and 31 yards.  I could go out there and punt 20 yards with no return.  It wouldnt mean Im a good punter because I dont have very many of my punts returned.

I don't think Simmons is willing to give up on his personally picked punter just yet. I don't expect us to draft another punter in 2024, but I won't be surprised if we sign a guy after the draft and there's some sort of competition.
You can always trust an dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to look out for.

His average isn’t 19 yards or 31 yards.

Do you even understand what “rookie” means? There are 4 other rookie punters in the league and you can only make an argument that one of them is having a better season.

Stop letting twitter influence how you view this team.

No one needs twitter to influence their views.  We can see it with our own eyes.  Robbins kicked one punt 19 yards and another 31.     It's illogical to point to Robbins not having very many return yards when he is punting the ball so short.

I understand Robbins is a rookie but regardless of that fact, he is still at the bottom in punting, rookie or not.  He is not helping this team.

Not ready to ship him out just yet. I'm sure he is working at getting better as are all players. One thing I did notice the last two games is that he adjusted very well to snaps from our LS that were close to being flubs. Robbins had to twist and reach to his right pretty far and then twist left and place it perfectly for Evan. More than one attempt too. That's on the LS. That easily throws the timing off for when Evan has started his move to the ball. Robbins did well in getting those snaps down quick for Evan.

EPA stands for expected points added. It's just a game-state calculation based on time remaining and field position. If you're calculating it for offensive players, you include the down and distance, too. An example would be if the Bengals had 1st and 10 from their own 40, they may have an expected points of one point. This is based on historical data giving ratios of scoring with that specific game state. Now, let's say Joe Mixon rips off a 60 yard touchdown, scoring six points. The Bengals were expected to score one point, Joe scored six, so Joe's expected points added (EPA) is five points for that play. If the Bengals had first and goal, their expected points may be 5.9. Once Joe scores, he has scored six points and added 0.1 expected points. It's a valuable metric for figuring out the value added by the individual players or which teams are consistently producing the most value.

Once you have the total, you can then turn it into an efficiency metric by dividing it by the amount of attempts a player has. So, the chart is saying that, on average, Robbins' punts are costing Cincinnati -.2 points. Put differently, Robbins' punts and their subsequent returns are putting Cincinnati at a very slight disadvantage.
