Trent Brown signs 1 year deal with the Bengals

Honestly, I think we forget how bad the run defense was.  If anything… a rookie WR could impact this year, and protect us into the future.

DT or offensive playmaker

I didn't say I was for it, just explained how it could happen.

It could for sure happen. I’m just tired of having zero contribution from 1st round picks. Outside of top 5 picks, our last first round contributor came in 2012 (zeitler).

It would be cool to have someone actually compete for OROY or DROY

Replacing Volson at LG with a 1st rounder wouldn’t be getting zero contribution though.

We literally just had an OROY winner a couple years ago.

As a bengals fan who wants them to win I’m assuming why do you say this seriously? Hill is already being demoted and booted from his initial position he’s not a boundary corner nor an nfl safety and he’s gonna be our answer at corner oppo Cam Taylor Britt hahahaha
Then there’s Turner which unless u didn’t watch a game last year Turner needs to make a leap bigger than the 29th of February to even sniff competent starter status.

39 for 445 and 2 TDs.

Whoop whoop… sounds like a Tanner Hudson stat line.

39, 352 and 1 TD.

We definitely should double down on OT and that is not a sign of trouble but of common sense. This is a draft rich in OT and DT so get them while the getting's good.

Injured a lot but when he plays he’s a monster

Probably gonna come cheap and we aren’t idiots

We won’t be giving him anything past a 2 year deal and the second year will
Likely be one where we can cut him for little loss

See no downside to this deal EXCEPT that because of his injury history you damn near have to have a starter level guy as the backup

This kinda drives home that we are taking a RT in the 1st two rounds

So was CTB.

CTB was NOT a first round pick.

lol… moving the goal post. Eifert was 6th on the team in receiving yards his rookie year. Eifert was a beast in 2015. Eifert was our number 2 tight end in 2013.

I don’t think you have to take one first two rounds. Not a lot is different between this years draft and last years draft… Jonah was an oft injured T on a one year deal. If someone is there, you take him, but it isn’t a must.

80.2 (579), 67.4 (1,030), 79.3 (489), 68.9 (282), 69.1 (581).

He would be our highest rated OL if he did that in 2024.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

My bad. You are talking rookie year contributions only. I missed that.

But if the guy is a backup Y1 and then contributes, that's not a bad pick. Especially picking late.

After Onwenu & Smith, Brown was probably the best FA OT out there.

If we can get a bargain, he's a good risk to take. And if Bowers falls in our laps.....we could take him.
