Daily observations from camp

and we value draft picks more than about any other team. Us being a little more aggressive wouldn't be a bad thing at all. We depend
on rookies a ton as well which usually isn't a good plan if you are wanting to win the entire thing.

Even a trade for Osa like you said would be an "all in" move for us compared to other teams like the stealers or Chiefs where it would
be a pretty regular move for them.

What rookies (plural) are we “depending” on in 2024?

Mims (maybe)
DTs (as part of a rotation)
Burton (maybe?)
TEs… (maybe).

Honestly, we have always built this team in a way where the rookies are not typically expected to contribute, always planning for a year into the future. This year it is mims for RT next year, Burton for Tee, all for Mike G, DTs are a bit different but Bj is on a one year deal.

So on and so forth, but I would say we are not depending on our rookies. We have a decent blend of vets and youth.

Saw Carlos Davis make a ton of great plays for the Birmingham Stallions last season in the UFL. I like this addition.

It wouldn’t be.

Too late in the season now…
Higgins and a first for Sutton and a Surtain.

But Denver isn’t trading a 24 year old top CB. Not soon anyway.

Mims for sure and could be all the ones you mention for all we know. We have 1 NT and he is currently hurt and a rookie. We will need Kris
Jenkins to show something being a 2nd rounder. Burton I expect to be our WR3 by mid season. All or McLachlan might also need to be called
upon at some point as well.

Last season we relied on rookies in DJ Turner and Jordan Battle and it wasn't good, at least not with DJ later in the season. I like all these
picks and the additions we made but certainly a Corner and a Nose Tackle could still be needed. We will see.

Agreed, Surtain is a cornerstone player to build around. A rebuilding team doesn't make progress by trading away their young stars.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Right. Maybe they wouldn't do it for a first, but if they would I can't imagine why it would be bad for us unless we are rebuilding.

By no means am I blaming the new turf, but if you’re gonna rip up a field and replace it anyway, why not go with grass?

Hearing Dajhan Anthony has had reps at corner is maybe a death blow for Tycen

Tycen would have to prove he’s indispensable on ST to not get cut imo

If I remember correctly we had natural grass and had issues with it

There was grass when the stadium first opened up until not sure when. There have been advances, especially with the front office catching the organization back up to modern times.

Non-contact injury on new turf hope it was just a fluke play and nothing to do with the turf.
