I'm wondering if it's his attitude; apparently Burrow isn't his biggest fan!
Hopefully he can get it together but he is on the path to Kelly Washington himself!

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

The Bengals will add an extra NT and an extra RB thru cuts or Trade.

Trade Assets

Hudson- I think the Bengals will shop him around for a 4th RB or NT.

Hill- If one of the big three of 2025 3T free agents teams call about a trade( Lions Mcneill, Eagles Milton Williams, and Cowboys Osa Odighizuwa) then I wouldn't be surprised if the FO pulls off a trade involving him. I do not think it's likley nor I'm I predicting said trade to happen.

Burton- something strange is brewing here; I don't think his roster spot is 100% safe like I thought it would be after the draft.

They love Burton I know for fact. I don’t know this but it’s possible there’s some life/rookie lessons going on.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Yeah. I think they're giving him tough love and making him earn it.

Looked like figuring out how to get him active on game days to me.

Anybody catch how Kirkland looked?  Or Miller?  OL backups could get interesting.

I wouldn't be shocked to see an outside RB or DT brought in after cuts are in.  Are we convinced that Williams, McKinnley, Carter, or Tufele are locks?

Is the 10th DL a super secret stealth weapon whose name we can not know? Can they not count? Or did you miss one?

Says 10 but only lists 9.

Kirkland has been talked about so lots of people on the forum noticed his play against the Bears #1s.  Munoz also talked about how well he was playing during the broadcast so it didnt go unnoticed.   Let's see how he does against the Colts.

Good catch. I didn't miss one, went back at the site and it only lists 9. I assume they missed Ced Johnson

Otherwise, roll with a 5th TE instead.

Actually, as long as they keep a true RB on the practice squad, I think keeping 5 TE's out of our TE room makes more sense than any of the 4th RB options.

As I've said from the day they drafted him, he will be his own worst enemy. If he can figure out the non-football side of life, he can be great. If he can't, he's not going to last long in Cincinnati under Taylor.

The kid has said everything the right way in every interview.  He has tons of mentors.  I truly hope he doesnt screw this up he is by far the 3rd most talented WR on the roster.

I see it opposite,  Evans out, Jones healing, Let Burton get experience,  he is 5th WR, so no worries on playing PS.

If our "steal of the draft" 3rd rounder is out there returning punts in a PS game then I see it as he's got something to prove. The dude has never returned kicks.

Let's not read anything into it. They are just giving Burton varied preseason experience.

I'm definitely ok with that. I'll go as far as to say I prefer that actually.

The only caveat may be if the Bengals can get away with storing one of the TEs on the PS and preventing a team from taking that player.
I know that was a rule as recently as last year, but I don't know if that's still something they can do.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

No way do we cut or trade Burton ffs.

Taylor nearly whipped his old man out on the desk when we drafted him he was that excited and every snap has shown he has the football ability.

Nobody has any clue what’s going on behind the scenes but it doesn’t seem like he’s missed a practise or come across badly on interviews.

People looking for something that isn’t there.

Yes, one could even argue Burton is more talented than Tee with his explosiveness.

I agree, no way are they cutting Burton just because they have him earning his spot in Preseason.

I do hear a lot of hype on Iosivas though right now which isn't a bad thing either.

Yeah, Zac was crazy excited when he was able to draft Jermaine Burton.

I don't think I have seen him that excited about a pick which is saying a lot.

Not to mention the clip of him turning to Chase in the preseason  opener and saying "We've created a monster, haven't we?"

They can upgrade at RB3/4 on cutdown day.  It really makes no sense for a primary 11 team to keep 5 TE's.

If we're going short anywhere for a TE, WR makes the most sense, as Hudson is basically just an oversized slot WR.

It's not strange the Bengals are kinda beat up at KRs with Evans out and Jones nursing his knee. Burton is the 6th receiver right now with the possibility of not dressing mostly due to special teams. Irwin, Jones, and Iosivas all have special teams experience.
