Agreed.  Blind optimism is every bit as foolish as blind pessimism.

Well, to be fair, Mixon had an awful game last night. The Colts, on the other hand, allowed 261 rushing yards yesterday. It may be true that the Colts just have an awful rush defense and Mixon isn't rejuvenated.

Patrick mahomes was outplayed by Joe burrow and had less than 200 pasing yards and had two interceptions and Travis kelce has 1 catch for 5 yards . Least passing yards Mahomes has ever had

That's all true, but taking 3-5 games to get in gear for the season isn't some badge of honor. It shows that for some reason, they can't figure out how to be ready game 1.

But, yeah I do look for us to start playing well as soon as next week and hopefully get a W.

Having an extra game in a season adds a little bit more of a cushion for the slow starts.

Joe is averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Ridiculously small sample size. Right now Demeco Ryans has total confidence in him. Cam Akers and Tank Dell haven’t got much action. I think we will see looking at early returns the Bengals aren’t a great run blocking team as we suspected. Mixon isn’t a young running back. He’s got better holes at Texas. But it will be an interesting watch.

This team played better. But they’re not a superbowl team this year. And I was hopeful they could be. But I saw their deficiencies this off season and didn’t believe they improved enough to make a post season run. My gripes were not getting better at DL and run D and also the O line. We signed T Brown and I said that wasn’t good enough. I stand behind that, although they’ve played better.

I love chase. He’s my favorite player. I have him in both my fantasy leagues even though he wasn’t Best available. But he was an ass today and caused us field position, while also laying a dud. JJ is doubled ever single week and still puts up #s. So far this year, chase has been pretty silent. And Joe burrow has been pretty bad.

I love Hendrickson and can never say anything bad about him. I defended him when he wanted more money, because I think he deserves it.

I’m not a Steelers fan. I’m not a bandwagon fan. I’m not a Homer. I’m a guy who spends way too much time on here, and way too much of my emotional currency on the Bengals. I want it to be worth it. And it’s not. It wasn’t last year either. The Bengals need to make a superbowl to be successful in my eyes. I wouldn’t say that about any Palmer or Dalton team. Burrow is special. But he hasn’t been the same since the Super Bowl. Im sorry you don’t like my posts or pessimism. I also don’t like peoples blind optimism like everything is okay because we only lost by 1.

Right, we're not a Super Bowl team this year.........(Goes into Arrowhead without Higgins and with half of our Dline and plays the reigning Super Bowl Champs to 1 point) Ninja Ninja Ninja

My point was it seems it only took them one stinker this year to get into gear and almost beat KC in the home. If Money doesn't miss that PAT, it's a tie game. Schedule only gets easier from here. It's not all doom and gloom.

Yeah I'll admit I spoke a bit too soon.  But still I don't feel Moss is actually making anyone else look bad.  Someone mentioned his stats yesterday were low because of short yard carries but he only had 2 first downs and no TDs according the PFR advanced game log.  So I don't know.  I still think the running game issues have more to do with the run blocking than the runner. Maybe a great RB could make up for that but I don't think anyone on this team fits that profile.

I liked Mixon, my whole point was where he used to get stuffed, Moss always seems to get a yard or two. I think he's an improvement, especially in pass blocking.

Does our performance vs the patriots count? We’re 0-2, 0-2 in the AFC, with our head to head vs KC a loss. If we’re a SB team, then we needed this game big time, for home field advantage in playoffs. Do you want to go to arrowhead again? It makes it that much harder. I was pleased with the way they played, but the loss to Patriots makes this loss unfavorable. I’ve seen enough to know the bengals aren’t a dominant team in the nfl this year. Can we make the playoffs? Yeah, maybe, possible. Maybe even probable. But I don’t feel confident to say we’re the team to represent the AFC in the SB. Any given Sunday and forever love for the Bengals, so I’ll have some faith and watch every minute of every snap this year.

I liked Mixon too, but he seemed to have a bunch of average to below average games, then go crazy for 2-3 games and then he'd have his 1100-1200 yards.

Being down Hill and Rankins, even with them, they struggled with the run, but that's because the safeties were playing back. The linebackers played a solid game today.  More of Lou's bend but don't break.

Burrow again had all kinds of time, the offensive line grades ought to be good.
Yoshi scored twice, the TE's are getting a lot of work.

I like Moss. When they hand him the ball and there is no hole, he always finds a yard or two, unlike Mixon who would get stuffed.
Burrow looked more himself and will only get better from here on out.

We are playing without Tee. He will be back soon and then they won't be able to double Chase so much. Burton is coming along nicely.

Jenkins should be back next week which will help stop the run.

Washington, Carolina, Baltimore, the Giants and then the Browns. I can see us going on a nice win streak here.

Baltimore lost again today, so they are 0-2 as well. Pittsburgh will not sustain their wins and Cleveland is a time bomb waiting to explode.

Everybody seemed to be horrified this game was Nationally televised last week, and thought the Bengals would be murdered. 1 point game.  Tiger

Based on what I witnessed during the Pats game, I truly didn't think we would hang with the Chiefs yesterday. But to my surprise, we had every chance to win that game, but again, we beat ourselves. They will get it together and I feel good after this loss. I actually see some light that wasn't present last week.

For those of you standing on the ledge, take a deep breath and relax. We're going to be fine.

We said that last year too. This was a big game and we lost. If all goes well, we’ll have another trip to Arrowhead. I like our chances at home better. But that’s just me.

TBF, Burrow got hurt. Had he stayed healthy, I see us going to the playoffs last year.

To be honest, you can bet we'll go to Arrowhead every year in the playoffs. The NFL has to get their money out of the Swift deal and she's not getting a box at Paycore.

I think it's more the blocking too ....what I like about Moss, and what I liked about Perine is that he always seems to fall forward, and he seems to be able to find those little creases in the pile for an extra yard or two. Joe wasn't doing a lot of that lately.

I'd agree with you there for sure. I'd love to see home field advantage.

I think they would have too. Two things worked against them with him out ....Jake played well, but he was a guy that had never seen live regular season action, and then there was the odd situation of an entire division having a winning record. They still kept themselves in the race with all of that.

If Swift breaks up with Kelce, then KC will see the wrath of Swift fans. Need another term other than bandwagon to stand for those fickle fans.
