The way the snap was mishandled at the last second, I don't think Evan would have had time to back out of the kick anyway.

Awful is OVERstating it.

No, but Rekhow probably had time to just fall on it.

They were on him before that became a thing. I saw with my own two eyes on this very board people degrading him over his hair color. One poster went as far as to categorize every red haired person on the planet as losers and choke artists....and gave lame ass examples supporting that nonsense.  I saw him have games just like yesterday where he would put up good numbers and throw one interception (sometimes off a tip) and get the blame for Rey Maualuga looking like Fridge Perry in coverage. He got blamed for losing to AZ on MNF after playing a whale of a game. The playoffs were icing on the cake.

Paying Money Mac quite a bit to win games in scenarios JUST LIKE yesterday too.

If we tried to pass and we were pushed back due to holding call or a sack, the same posters here would be crying and yelling to fire Zac.

If the ball was tipped at the LOS and intercepted, the same.

These run calls were not bad calls.  They were conservative AND Zac did call for a pass, likely on 2nd down.

Im not a huge Zac defender but basic football is basic football.

Exactly, it's remedial coaching....but some hack on Twitter posted some nonsense and riled up the commoners. I mean, this is pee wee level coaching. You don't give them a chance to push you out of range of potential points....or worse, turn it over. Like you did in the red zone the possession before.

Zac has Burrow though.

Marvin had Dalton and an injured Palmer.

Bro, I like you, and most of your takes, but ....... LMAO

Not even a little better, let alone way better. That injured Palmer won playoff games in AZ at the tail end of his career. Marvin choked as much as, or more than anybody.

The Atlanta Falcons lost a SuperBowl to the Tom Brady Patriots after the coach decided to have QB Matt Ryan pass the ball late in the game, when they were in field goal position and ready to push the lead up to 11 points with about 3 minutes to go. First Ryan was sacked that pushed the Falcons to the edge of field goal range and then the Falcons got a holding call that pushed them out of FG range. Matt Ryan had had a terrific year -- MVP and top offensive player -- but it was still the wrong decision to try and have him pass because of the risk of a sack and holding call. I feel the same way about what the Bengals did in OT -- they were in position to win with a FG and shouldn't risk getting pushed out of FG range.

SNF, but your point stands: that stupid game that we lost on a Peko penalty, "personal foul, #94 tried to mimic the cadence and get the player to false start," the first time I every heard that penalty and what a crock of shit: like any linesman or anyone can tell who is talking from half a field away? Bullshit.

The HC/OC is doing a good job. The DC is not.

The players themselves (save for the usual suspects) are NOT doing a good job. Each loss (except the first one, which I will put on the entire building) has come down to player execution on the field.

That's what I don't understand. Like I think we SHOULD replace Lou, but to go straight at Zac? After the last 3 seasons AND how our offense has looked after the NE game?

Same. Someone responsible for that defense, be it Lou, Duke Tobin, a scout, whoever has got to go. Zac needs to show some accountability and send a message there. I'm all for that criticism.

EXACTLY. If one of those things had happened, people would be losing their minds (and rightfully so).

I'm wondering if Zac is giving Lou until the bye week to fix the defense before replacing him, but I don't know if we can afford to wait until the bye week.

Yeah, if Vrabel wants the job I would swap them now. If the defense is still bad, I don't consider it much a loss for the risk is some of this problem Lou's.

The defense is not talented; they're slow, out of position, missing tackles, taking bad angles, trying to strip the ball instead of bring the man down (in contextual situations), they don't swarm tackle. I would have expected the last 5 Lou would have fixed "by now", but then I realize he's not as good as we thought he was.

This organization seemingly has limited accountability from the top, people are paid too much to suck. Fans should get their money back after every loss lol

He inherited one of the worst rosters in football, had it retool & in a SB & back to back AFCCGs within 3 seasons of getting the job.

Throwing ZT's overall record in his face without context of the begining is like people holding Trump's overall economic stats against him while not mentioning the effect COVID had on it in the end.

Lou can't fix the defense. He doesn't have the talent on that side of the ball. The defensive line is really struggling. No one can win outside of Trey. The safety play has been a huge burden. There is no scheming that can save it. If your pass rushers can't pass rush, what do you do? You need the personnel and Cincinnati doesn't have it.

Yes, Zac inherited a terrible roster and we can consider 2019 and 2020 as throw-away development time but the Bengals have been on a downward trend since the last AFC Championship appearance. The bottom line is Zac is on track for one of his worst season records.

Not sure if it was mentioned just posting quick before work but another coaching blunder by Taylor 3rd and goal and an half inch out and we get a delay of game !? I lost my mind watching this I get you wanted the refs to reset the clock but you need to call a timeout there. Thank god Burrow bailed us out but 2 chances from a half inch out is completely different then getting set back where we did.
