The big leg was nice while it lasted.
But kicking operations matter. Most.
We drafted Robbin’s because they felt they should never be punting from outside our 45. And there would be no need to “flip the field”. The hang time and directional kicking was his cash cow. With this Offense their vision can be realized.
We need Money to be money and it’s been a shaky start to his season. With this defense we need every point we can get.
If things are going to turn around I’d like to trust the game winning FG kicks again, and I don’t think it’s on Money.
Sacrifice the leg for consistent trusted FG kicks.

Y’all following me around everywhere only make my day. You don’t know that by now. I love the peanut gallery. I really do.
But back to the post. Underestimating the holder role punters have is something to keep an eye on as it relates to Moneys struggles. I don’t want to hear the complaints after week 9 after more missed FG’s and extra points.
Kicking operations and Money looked to be much better with Robbin’s when compared to Chrisman and Rehkow. And he does get a bad rep for his leg which he was never drafted for.
Simmons should at least consider giving holding responsibility to Browning. Some teams have their backup qb hold. Maybe it’s too late but something is of and it’s costs games this season.

I was happy we drafted Robbins. He stunk last year. One mistake, which probably won't happen again isn't enough to release Rehkow. If Rehkow wasn't one of the best punters in the league so far I would agree. He even had a clutch punt in the Ravens game that gave us points and the ball back

You're on a really impressive "bad takes" streak lately.

I’d like to trust the kicking game. And something is off. Money misses from inside 50. Missed extra points. These have cost us games. Not just the last game.
I think the kicking operations shouldn’t be overlooked. I don’t think these early season struggles are on Money.
Punting wise he’s been fine.
Are fans preferring that at the sacrifice of a steady McPherson?

I don’t think this is a hot take. I think it’s an understated issue. One maybe that I’m spotting a little earlier than most but one to keep an eye on going forward.

Kudos to all the pithy rejoinders, which get to the point with humor.
But to address the OP with a less witty response: If there is a problem holding for field goals -- and I'm not sure this last one wasn't just a rare mistake -- then someone else can assume the holding job. Tom Brady (early in his career), Brett Favre, and Tony Romo have held for field goals. Backup QBs have held for field goals. Running backs and WRs have held for field goals: Danny Amendola and Hines Ward and Darren Sproles. The bottom line is to have someone who is good at handing the football and good under pressure. Mostly punters do it these days, but it doesn't have to be that way.
But Rekhow as a punter is the best that I have seen in the Bengals uniform. He has not only switched position with his booming punts, and placed the ball inside the 20 (and 10), but even one on the 2 that ended up as a safety. He's regularly hit ones over 60 yards, and I believe has had an 80 yard punt, and is best in the league at both those booming punts and the net yardage. I think his punting right now also ranks him at, or near, the top historically. He is who we have been waiting for.

Well done JJ22.
There is no risk of you moving out of your slot as the worst poster on these boards. The bottom 5 thank you for maintaining the cellar.
