***Week 11 Gameday Thread (SNF) - Bengals @ Chargers***

Exactly. Good football isnt repeatedly giving up 30+pts a game. Good football isn’t getting your franchise QB hit 14+ times. Can anyone imagine Brady or Manning or even Mahomes getting hit the amount of times that Burrow gets hit?

The defense under Lou is regressing year after year. Honestly under Zac if you don’t count the addition of Joe, Jamar, or Higgins…there’s not one area of the game that Zac’s staff of clowns has set out to improve that has shown any improvement.

I only want to see wholesale changes because I know for a fact the only way Lou or Frank go is if Taylor goes. If these guys (Zac and Frank)haven’t ruined Joe yet they surely will if things don’t change.

Just dillusional, words have meaning.  The defense played well in the 2nd half but Hendrickson is the only thing good about that unit.  I guess there are like 28 good defenses in the NFL I guess.  We can't run when we need to either, nothing good about that.  Someone in the media needs to ask him to stop using that word.

Ja”Marr when asked about finishing games said “I dont know, I just play football on the field. I don’t call the plays”

He also pointedly said (and we all agree) that Evan has to make those kicks because that”s why he got paid those bucks

Winning makes believers of us all

No other team would bring this coaching staff back. Not a single one.

It was worse than that. He specifically called out Taylor.

No other organization would suffer the clown show front office staff, but since most of them are named Brown or Blackburn, we’re stuck with that boat anchor. The front office has absolutely failed the draft and free agency periods the last 3 years. The reason the team sucks is squarely their fault. If the Brown family can’t afford to operate the organization in the current NFL climate they need to sell the team to someone who can. Employing non-qualified family members in positions of prominence and continuing to utilize the league’s smallest scouting department is guaranteed to waste Joe’s career.
Through 2023

Mike Brown’s Owner/GM record: 32 years  223-303-4  .419 winning pct.
Playoff Record:  5-9, .357 winning pct.
Zac Taylor coaching record, reg. season:  37-44-1. .455 winning pct.
Playoff Record: 5-2, .714 winning pct.

With still two prime time games left, I don’t know if I can keep staying up until 5am to watch them find more, and more ways to lose games! You’ve only got to make one of those kicks and it changes everything at the end as Herbert was cold in the entire second half.

Most organizations would have already pulled the plug on the majority of this staff by now.

Thats why I went to bed.  Prime time games suck and they really suck when you go down by 21 on the road.

Also, money Mac is now venturing into Nuge territory with his kicking.  Big leg with no accuracy

Zac Taylor is 6-13 (so far) vs the AFC since last season.

Even the Jags don't put up with this crap and their coach had a ring.

The sad thing is a guy like Doug Pederson is all we can really hope for with this organization.

I didn't stay up to watch this one (1:20am start here), and feeling vindicated by that choice now!

Chargers are a good team, not too surprised we lost, but not the kind of team you should be getting smashed by at HT... good heart to fight back, but it's so on brand for us to come back from 21 down, to blow multiple chances at taking the win.

Definitely a done season now, we aren't winning 6 or 7 of 7. The Steelers absolutely bottled up a Ravens offence that decimated us, so I won't be shocked if we struggle to put points on them either. Broncos are not a bad team either. Probably won't have a winning record to end the season, let alone the run we'd need for the playoffs.

Joe Burrow came back from a dangerous injury to put up an MVP-like season, and we've wasted it. Needs to be a big change in the offseason but it won't happen.

I wonder if Ben Johnson would come here for Burrow? Then, Vrabel as DC.

It was total Bengals loss. Crush our hope by HT. Come back to give us hope. Miss an easy kick and then lose...to crush hope again.

Like Hey we want to disappoint you twice, but you have to stay up late too if we do!

They'll be scared to fire Taylor because the offense does score. But, it can't do things like run the ball, block, etc.

Like the long td to Tee looked like a brilliant play...but he ran past a double team to score. Just made a freakishly good move.

Telling that playing bench guys that are young, fast, and inexperienced was a huge improvement. Then, our course Turner got hurt. Also, a Bengals thing seemingly.

Aka Find an answer, then the answer is injured.

I had a big lead in fantasy. The other team had Burrow and Dobbins. Do I need to say more?

I'm not trying to be rude, but no **** pally!!!!!

Think big picture.  He is probably starting to realize what the rest of us who have watched the Bengals for decades already know; that the FO is a complete joke of inept idiots who are not serious about winning and who will never change.

Burrow and Chase are fierce competitors, paid big bucks or not, and I would imagine hate losing and hate realizing that nothing will ever change.

I truly, honestly, with all my heart hope that the Browns sell the team or that Burrow and Chase demand trades/refuse to play/sit out.  Yes, that is very dramatic, but sometimes you have to shake things up in order to force change.  The status quo has not worked in the 35+ years I have been watching.

NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING will change season after season after season after season as long as the Brown/Blackburn family own/run this org.  It is literally hopeless.  There is zero point being excited about any game or season.  The FO and coaches are not serious NFL caliber.

NBC got a good game, but I imagine most of the audience left at half-time.

With the Chargers giving up only around 13 points a game, and the Bengals limited to two short FGs, it looked to be over at half-time. Then Bengals roared back with a 21-point comeback, and even primed to go up except for the lousy field goal attempts by MissPherson.

Seriously need to fix this pitiful defense. And get Evan right. Offense is putting up a lot of points.
