Looking like we won't have to worry about that

We'll see what happens. I do support us moving more to press man coverages because with our pass rush issues zone schemes just ensure easy completions.

After watching Ohio State move the ball against Notre Dame I think we better move on from Al Golden and look elsewhere for a new defensive coordinator.

Came on here expecting to see a meltdown.

In reality Ohio state are a different class no shame if ND get 50 hung up on em.

I’m liking what I see from his blitz packages but the coverage could be a bit tighter.

he is not doing well, he may stay where he is or be demoted.

These hires aren’t going to move the needle any.

Saw a Goodberry post saying they are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at em, but they're way outclassed in talent. OSU scores on everyone, but the Irish offense is WAY outclassed.

Talent gap is clear and obvious.
Everything in this post is my fault.

It's going to be super awkward when they announce Al Golden as our new DC the day after he gives up 50 in the national championship.

Maybe we should take the ohio state DC instead. Apparently he turned Ohio states defense in 3 years

Well, we can't do that because he's not associated with Zac Taylor in some way.

I like Al Golden, and I think he has the potential to be a good DC in the NFL. But I do find it tiresome that we can only hire people that Zac Taylor already personally knows or who has a significant tie to someone he already knows.

Or we could have just went the proven experienced route with a coach whose defense specializes in stopping the run which is needed in the AFCN, and proven ability to finish in the top half of the league.

I think they should probably wait a couple days to announce the hire and hope everyone forgets this last impression.

You don’t want to run more press man when you have pass rush issues. You run more press man if you have either a stud secondary or a stud pass rush. Cincinnati has neither.

So what do you run?

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Al Golden doing a bang-up job against OSU. This is bad, period. Golden Showers-level effort…
