Day 3!
Per Al, they took Carter because he was rated higher than the draft position. Good at run defense. Another team captain. Has a 4.0 GPA

All hopes turn to next year

Seriously though, does anyone know much of his tendencies at ND? i'll have time to look later but i'm looking for more of a quick fix right now...to make some sense of all these LBs.

Before any sunshiners shit their pants, i acually like these 2 LBs and i like the speed in rds1 and 2. Just not sold they're gonna be any good till i see it on the field though. Was always a big fan of Bengals LBs in the '80s and early '90s.

Golden loves press CB's, fast LB's who can rush the passer (blitz) and cover TE's

What free agents? Anyone good is already gone.

So the team what many wanted, they took a BPA who at a minimum instantly becomes a special team player, something Pratt was not

The Eagles had 4 LBs on their team, taking over 50% of the snaps last year. They did OK

Still can’t get my head around us taking 2 linebackers when we were already short on picks this year and signing another LB in free agency.

If there was a position to double dip it was guard we all know it.

You can’t defend the indefensible at this point.

He's one of the best MLBs in the league, period: people don't appreciate the skills he has in coverage and sideline to sideline.

Take your bullshit elsewhere.

I was half right. You told me to leave lmao

Didn’t see a LB there but then who knows?
Wasn’t Burks the FA LB they signed more of a back up/ST guy until the playoffs last year?

I meant take it elsewhere as in talk to someone else with your bullshit, not to go away. I ignore your dumbass anyways.

This draft has spoken volumes. More athleticism on defense.

I’m actually seeing a vision.

If I’m right about how Golden wants to make this team up then we absolutely need another safety.

This defense is gonna be fast as shit

Good take, probably should be it's own thread even good call. I liked Bowman but that's his knock.  If guys trust the staff on where to be they'll be there quick and finish the job.

I understand your concerns.

For me, we rebuilding the fron 7 defensively and took a potential starting guard.

Pratt needed to go at a minimum and we needed more speed on defense.

Time will tell if Golden given the keys to the draft picked thr right guys or not.

I would say more of a backup for Joe Bachie. 4th LB year 1 and special teams. Likely a career special teams player.

Golden has said before he wants more of a 4-3 look than what Lou did. This means he needs a larger LB room. With Knight and Barrett plus Oren and Wilson that's already 4 and if Pratt stays they'll have either 5 or 6 LB in the room.

I like Barrett Carter. Solid pick.

At a minimum yes, but special teamers turn into starters in the NFL with experience as well.

We will never know, but did Ravens want either of 2 Lb's we drafted and we shut them out?
