Bengals fans...
(01-11-2016, 10:36 PM)Wyche Wrote: Well.....according to that hack , Carey , Gio took two whole steps making him a runner.  Ok then , Bryant took two steps , but Williams got the flag early on in the game.......so which is it ?  Oh that pesky thing called a memory....amirite?

The Williams call was BS....and the no call on Gio was BS.  Shazier led with the crown outside of the tackle box.....therefore , penalty.

It's stuff like this that led to the free for all.....the subsequent media ass kiss is fanning those flames.

If you're referring to the Burfict hit, Antonio Brown didn't take two steps. He was hit as soon as he landed.

As far, Bernard goes, I said at the time that there should have been a flag. Regardless of two steps, Shazier lowered his helmet.

He was talking about the hit on Wheaton that was flagged. I think most of the more sensible fans around here are in agreement that the Burfict hit on Brown was illegal. And truthfully, once someone finds out about the rule against hitting with the crown outside of the tackle box (I didn't know about it until the other day) they haven't been defending the Shazier hit on Gio.

So they aren't across the 50 on the Steelers side?

C'mon...you love the tough guy Burfict!  At least admit when he's being a "tough guy".

Oh, and it's also interesting that the Bengals players defended him saying he was....wait for it....baited into doing it becuase of the williams tweet a couple weeks before.  Hilarious  AND blamed the commissioner...because there is NO reason to blame the knucklehead who actually did it.

Actually.....this all did lead up to the pitiful display Saturday night.  That back and forth between both teams should have been nipped in the bud from the get go.  At the very least, it's terroristic threatening.  Then we had the bullshit in Cincy a few weeks ago, again, BOTH teams involved in the shenanigans.  The league does nothing.

They give out warnings prior to the game.  They lost control of it early.  The message should have been sent.  Munchak should have been ejected.  Peko, ejected.  Shazier flagged, Burfict flagged for excessive celebration.....more than likely, if the officials set the tone earlier, none of the bullshit that went down at the end of the game happens, including Porter's nonsense and Burfict's hit.  That's just the simple truth.  The league got what they wanted.....ratings, but it has gone way too far.

I've given this some thought, and would like to revisit.

Had Porter been flagged from the onset, Pacman does not get involved, and therefore, the flag would have offset Burfict's illegal hit.  You are now on the wrong side of the 50 with 18 seconds left.

Anyway, moot point, if Hill plays smarter, there's no fumble, and none of this matters.  Poor coaching gets us again.

Yup.....and whether intentional or not, by rule, Burfict's hit was illegal.

You notice Burfict has his helmet on and Harrison does not?  Yet another example of what a deep down ***** Burfict is.  You want to start a fight pregame, don't wander over with your helmet on.  Hilarious that Bengals fans could even think Harrison is the one who was intimidated in this instance.

The reason they say he took 2 or 3 steps because it makes it worse than the reality that happened. The Burfict hit was a bang bang play, now the Shazier hit, he had 2 or 3 steps to line him up and deliver a helmet to helmet hit with the crown of his helmet. The Shazier hit was a lot more dangerous.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

And a lot more legal.

I disagree with him on that, to be honest. Yeah, it was quick, but he did line up that hit.

I actually disagree as well, it'll be interesting to see what comes of this.

Wait...Let me get this straight.  Now we have a scrub Bengal LB putting poo poo on Shazier's pee pee with his bum bum while Roto is doing it to someone else and Burfict is doing it to another.    Shocked

Ya'll like this poo poo, pee pee, bum bum thing.

Didn't you hear, the NFL allows death threats among rivalry teams. Lewis alluded to it during hos press conference, Bengals security sent it to the NFL and they did............................................................................................................................nothing

I've already admitted enough. Something you've not done, in the least.

He was around those guys for a year. He knows no one is going to swing. Plus, he's old as dirty and has finally matured into more of a peace maker.

You need only read the post I quoted.  He challenged me to explain why and how the tweet was not a death threat.  I, foolishly, took the time to thoroughly eviscerate his argument and then he refused to respond stating he would no longer respond to me ever again.  IN short, he's a huge fembot.

Nice article from Steelers fan, Mike Florio.

And it wasn't legal. But it was dirty.
