6 WRs + Gesicki + Hudson = 8 WRs... that's too many WRs.

i think you are correct about too many WRs which is why i posted asking about whether Tinsley could pay safety.       Rod Woodson is one example who did it.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Agreed. 8 isn't enough, but too many.

Though I think the solution will be to cut Burton or Grandy. I think Hudson is safe.

Agreed. There is no way Hudson survives being on the practice squad without being claimed.

Seems like Browning has a good rhythm with Hudson. Wonder if that may make him a tad more favored.

Holy shit do some of you overrate Tanner Hudson. Dude has like 700 yds and 2 career TD’s in 6 years in the league. You’d think teams would be fighting with each other to snatch him up the way some of you act.

He was graded as a 5th round prospect by a lot of draft evaluators. That Alabama team was known for having a poor passing attack. Where did people ever get the idea that he was some fringe first round sort of talent?

I can see a team like the Lions, Eagles, TB or Washington value his ability to get open and catch the football. My point is I could definitely see a team that feels hos salary being low and ability making him a trade possibility for a 7th round pick. He has proven put him on a team with a good QB and he can produce.

On to 2025, let's save the drama for the off season.

Burton might get cut after Tinsley showing out. Burrow said Mitch should make the team and is someone he can trust. Think he was talking
bad about Burton there.

Does anyone know if Burton travelled w/ the team to DC?

I get he made some circus catches but dude was absolutely blanketed by practice squads CBs. He's in his 3rd preseason and never made a catch in an NFL game. Maybe he can do something, for his sake I hope he gets a shot, but no one is picking him off the practice squad for a game day roster spot.

Those were great adjustments by Tinsley with the ball in the air. I am not so sure about no team picking him off the PS.

And some may be overrating Jermaine "No way he's cut" Burton after his stellar 4 catch rookie year, in which our #2 and #4 WRs missed time,

Sounds that way if Joe is advocating for Tinsley.

Still vivid image in my mind of Burrow on the sidelines being pissed at Burton during a game last year. Burton needed to shine to get out of the doghouse and I don't know if he's done it this preseason.

Burton reminds me of John Ross, another receiver that never panned out

I never even said Burton hasn’t been a huge disappointment thus far. But people have short memories. He was the one everyone was all hyped up about after a big showing last preseason. Just like they are over Tinsley right now.

I can't find any news confirming if he traveled.  Also I don't recall seeing him on the sideline during the game.  Seems how controversial he is, if he was there it would have been worth a little camera time.  But I may have missed something like that.   Maybe they left him in Cinci so he can practice writing a rent check.    Tongue Ninja

Kind of a big difference between Ross and Burton. Ross was a 1st round 9th over all pick.  Burton a 3rd rounder.

I see the comparison though. Both super talented WR’s that just didn’t have their heads on right. Burton still has time to change, but I’m not holding my breath.
