Since he made it thru cut down day I'd guess he wanted out but who knows ?

One of the few assistants I was hoping would be kept on. Bengals didn't give him much to work with his one season on the job.

Bevell and Sherman also worked together in Green Bay. In fact I think Sherman was the coach that brought Bevell into the NFL.

Maybe Mike Sherman or Bill Callahan could be coming on in some capacity for the o-line.

Just please don't let him end up with the Steelers.

I wonder if he may head to the Colts as they just released their very good OL coach. 

The Colts also fired Dave DeGuglielmo today for some reason. Rumor is maybe it was because he was Josh McDaniels hire before McDaniels decided to stay in New England and Frank Reich wants his own guy. It seemed he did a decent job turning the Colts o-line around. Maybe he would be a candidate to replace Pollack.

He won't be unemployed for long. And I hope he wasn't released because the front office felt the o-line wasn't good because of him.

Well he's the one guy I hoped would stay. If he didn't get the ax the other day I thought he would be retained with the new coach and staff. Maybe he received a better offer some place else or doesn't want to work for the new hire.

I also read from colts fans that he had a weird conflict with a player. DeGuglielmo told a lineman he was a failure because he missed time after attending the funeral for his younger brother who died in a drive by shooting.

If that is true then he is a piece of shit. There is a difference between being a hardass and an asshole.

I guess the silver lining here is that the new HC is getting to pick his own staff.

I just read something along those lines as well while doing a little more research into his firing.  If that is true then yeah, seems like he is an asshole.

Time for Westerman to have OL coach #3...or perhaps a return of his first OL coach???! 

Paul Dehner says Pollack had opportunity elsewhere and Zac wants his own guy in that spot.

Gotta say this is one move I wonder about.

We want the FO to let the coach pick his staff, if Taylor feels like he had a guy better suited for what he wants to do that’s cool.
