Short term, this sucks, but according to 90% of you the season was already shot right?....

If AJ is out for a good portion of time, I say the team should use it as a chance to evaluate what John Ross can really do for this team (if he is healthy enough). Put him out there as the #1, let's find out what happens. We need a definite conclusion on this guy and I see no better way of getting the answers.

I went out to see Broadway's a Lion King last week. Funny thing, the main child actor for Simba looked EXACTLY like a young John Ross. Same haircut, same smile, same energy and excitement. Now, if you know the story of the Lion King (spoilers ahead), Simba's father (Moofasa) gets killed, Simba runs away in fear, but then comes back and lives up to his potential. I had a weird fantasy scenario in my head where John Ross is Simba and AJ is his father Moofasa. It took Moofasa going down for Simba to live up to his potential. I made up this far-fetched and outrageous scenario where it would take AJ disappearing for John Ross to ever live up to his potential. Whelp, it sounds like this is a real possibility now.

Losing AJ is never good, but if he is gone for a few games I hope the team uses it to evaluate the other pieces of the offense. It seems to be the most productive thing to do given the situation.

"First, this is just another example of why we can’t believe anything the Bengals say when it comes to reporting injuries. Even the most seemingly minor issues somehow can turn into injuries that cost players multiple weeks with this medical staff"

This James Marcum dude putting them on BLAST. Love it lol Not the news though Sad

Bengals did not report anything on AJ injury so why throw out lies. AJ said he was OK and just a sprained toe. AJ is not  a doctor, Price said he was OK, again Price is not the team doctor.

RE: Green to undergo further testing - motoarch - 10-31-2018

Just cut the thing off and get back out there.

RE: Green to undergo further testing - OBX Bengal - 10-31-2018

Does anybody know if this is the same turf toe injury that he has had in the past or if this is something new?

RE: Green to undergo further testing - NATI BENGALS - 10-31-2018

Good thing its an NFC opponent after the bye.

We are sitting at 52 considering Lawson is done. Have to think we havent made a move yet because we are waiting on clarity with this

RE: Green to undergo further testing - RASCAL - 10-31-2018

WHY DOES THIS CONSISTENTLY HAPPEN HERE? How many other teams have this same problem with all of these injuries? This sure does get OLD!

RE: Green to undergo further testing - Go Cards - 10-31-2018

Rub some dirt on it and let's go.

Can not lose AJ

RE: Green to undergo further testing - Go Cards - 10-31-2018

Why can't Austin be the one hurt ?

Definitely showing his bias with this statement. I guess the fact that the Saints just announced they lost a Marcus Davenport for the next month with a toe injury means their medical staff is incompetent as well?

I'm not sure how those two points are correlated at all. I dont know much about the saints injury history, as I'm sure you dont either. But the Bengals definitely have a definitive history of players having reported small injuries that end up causing significant missed time or become season long injuries.

Maybe the Bengals should tell their players to shut up and not say things they have no idea about?

Other than that, I don't know how you can blame the team for this.

Stop it.

It would not be unusual for a problem not to show up on the initial x'rays. Swelling can hide things.

RE: Green to undergo further testing - bengalsturntup926 - 11-01-2018

Im sorry what? Our fans said we dont need another receiving weapon,so we should be good to go without green.

RE: Green to undergo further testing - Bilbo Saggins - 11-01-2018

Hopefully nothing serious.  Dude is consistently of the best in the world at his craft.

That's only because Marvin does not talk about players injuries, unless they are season ending, and that leads to speculation and people who don't know anything running their traps. Marvin not discussing injuries is one of the few smart things he does.... and the "this medical staff" comment just shows ignorance. It's like no one thinks these players see specialists...… "welp, tore my ACL, better head on over to PBS so the medical staff can do the surgery"...…...NOT!

Now this is the kind of thing I would do.  Sit there watching a play and relating it to the Bengals.  You, sir, are a true fan.

RE: Green to undergo further testing - Bengalbug - 11-01-2018

I know people are not a fan, but bringing in Dez May not be a bad idea. If Ross is healthy and can stretch the field, dez might at least to be able to body his way to receptions?
