The joey porter rule? - Beaker - 06-10-2016

The NFL is changing the rules to make it illegal for assistant coaches to be on the field. Yet another rule to be named after a steeler. And yet steeler fans and players (continue to whine about how the Bengals play against their team.

Probably because more fans and players care about people trying to intentionally injure players than they do about assistant coaches walking on the field.

you fans would care if that assistant coach helped cost your team a playoff game....  It should have cost the steelers one but it helped cost us instead.  that and the other illegal shots that were pretty damn illegal before the game starter but not called...

but what would a ravens fan know....  refs seem to like you guys. lol

I was under the impression that being unable to kill the clock without turning the ball over cost the Bengals the game.

This....I have no idea why a Bengal fan is attempting to discuss something that happened in the past.  We have been told over and over again that one should not live in it, but instead only hope for the future.  Heck until just now I didn't think Bengal fans actually had a long term memory, but if they do it only makes me pity them for having to remember the entirety of the Bengals history.

still haven't figured out why steeler fans cant find their own webpage?   or are there none smart enough to start one?

RE: The joey porter rule? - Bengalzona - 06-10-2016

Actually, it seems to be another case of the NFL making a special instance to re-make something illegal after failing to call it on the Steelers in the first place.

And I think the "Joey Porter Rule" is a misnomer, since every Steelers coach wanders out on the field all of the time. Sometimes they even trip other teams players in their 'enthusiasm'. Wink

who got tripped?  Or is this jut another example of a BLTMLS (Bengal Long Term Memory Loss Syndrome).  A sad disease that effects an entire fan base located in southern Ohio.  Many thought the effects were geographical in nature, but it has been proven that it is indeed directly related to the choice to root for the Cincinnati Bengals since even the fans of the team that no longer live in the hometown area are effected by BLTMLS.

Literally this is the saddest post I have seen in here since the last time it was posted by Bengal fan.  other than the post itself, each and every person that has said the above has always had one thing in common.  The inability to formulate even marginal smack.

Tell me there chief...how fun would a smack forum be if only Bengal fans were here?  I mean we all know how much you like to play with yourself, but come on......Wait ignore that.  Don't come at all.

I thought this was going to be a rule that: if you're a punk and what to fight someone in a Vegas casino make sure you make it about 5 on 1.

I can only assume you haven't seen some of the more recent smack threads.

But yeah, I like having Steeler and Raven's fans in here. The selfies me thankful for my dental plan and the family portraits aid me in my fight to end inbreeding nationwide.

Actually, its the present. The rule change just happened. The event that spurred it occurred in the past. But most rule changes come about based upon past events. What the rule change does show is a consistent pattern by the steeler organization of doing things that are so egregious that the rules have to be changed.

Kentucky trying to smack talk the state of Maryland? That's precious.

Apparently raven and steeler fans consider extended arguing with Brad to be smack.

Haven't we already been over which of these two states have laws against inbreeding. Don't worry I'm bringing my protest group to your next family reunion. Soon we'll stomp it out Nationwide

Pretty sure he was making a joke about the time Mike Tomlin tripped a player.

Pretty sure that still doesn't answer my question.  Who got tripped?  This has got to be another example of BLTMLS.
