I think it is due to a combination of factors. People still need more info or we need to do a better job at educating the general public. Because there isn’t an objective test to confirm a concussion, concussions can be difficult to recognize even for medical providers and training staff, especially if the patient isn’t honest due to secondary gain. The NFL’s actions sends mixed messages to the public which creates even more confusion.

Someone who fails the eyeball test as miserably as tua did on the Sunday incident should be pulled out and evaluated extensively. Much better to err on the side of caution.

I don't know why they wouldn't just throw him out there again and see what happens. Give him a chance to prove that it was just his sore back that gave him wobbly legs. Like Gumpy.

Dr. Bennet Omalu, the neuopathologists who discovered CTE and inspired the film Concussion, believes Tua suffered permanent brain damage and should retire from the NFL.

He said, ""If you love your life, if you love your family . . . it’s time to gallantly walk away," he said. "Go find something else to do.""

He said he believes that Tua "suffered severe, long-term permanent brain damage."

That Miami coach, who the announcers spend half the game praising last Thursday night, really failed Tua miserably. He can talk all he wants about having the players' best interests at the forefront, but when push came to shove, and he was caught in an critical, divisional game, he didn't do the right thing by the player. So many long-term coaches, such as Belicheck and Harbaugh, have said they were shocked that Tua was put back in the game after exhibiting such disorientation.

Looks like Indy RB just suffered a back/ankle injury

Did he grab his head? Sure sign of back/ankle injury.

Between Carr’s bullshit roughing the passer play call tonight and the one on Tom Brady Sunday they are going way overboard on protecting these quarterbacks. It’s a physical ***** game let them play football.
