Yep, Chase is like Burrow in that he does not suffer fools. He told him once, he's not going to babysit him. Got a lot of wood on the ball that time! Truth and as much as many of us didn't like how Ja'Marr handled showing up to Training Camp, he just plays ball and is currently the #1 WR in lots of areas in the NFL right now. He is a professional on and off the field for the most part. RE: Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays - cinci4life - 11-07-2024 Seems Housh had a long long conversation with Burton. Hopefully he got through to him. https://www.cincyjungle.com/2024/11/7/24290178/t-j-houshmandzadeh-conversation-jermaine-burton-bengals?fbclid=IwY2xjawGZ_4dleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHfP1zYv93wzTCaytc6ydE0G4J9dFZ8dNipJschVTJpiKfKgIUbTTpw-Q7g_aem_40UXgXhVy5X6xwEIwHW9mw RE: Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays - Browns Town Bengal - 11-07-2024 (11-07-2024, 05:53 PM)cinci4life Wrote: Seems Housh had a long long conversation with Burton. TJ was a 7th round pick and he turned out to be a pretty damn good player from a draft position that usually ends up on a practice squad or out of the league in a year. Everyone is familiar with TJ's story, that's why it's noteworthy that he reached out to Burton. Weather or not he was able to get anything impactful through to Burton remains to be seen. I'm like you, hoping that Burton took TJ's words to heart. RE: Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays - WeezyBengal - 11-07-2024 I find it really weird that all of this shit is out in the open and players are publicly speaking on it. Bengals have had issues with players in the past, but things always stayed in house. The details never came out and other position players weren't speaking on it. Just really weird vibes. RE: Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays - Bengalitis - 11-07-2024 nobody should call an 18 yr old or older a "kid". Naive, yes, a kid, no. The majority learn around 13-17. (that includes the slow ones) Burton needs to be put to work (return punts?) or trade him or release him... Is Marvin Head Coach again??!?!?! ha! Housh just seems like he isn’t nice if he’s more of a soft advice guy Not a guy that’s gonna call J and cuss him out He’s more of a “you did this to yourself now climb out that hole” type gu my but with a calm caring voice RE: Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays - Browns Town Bengal - 11-07-2024 (11-07-2024, 06:29 PM)SunsetBengal Wrote: Everyone is familiar with TJ's story, that's why it's noteworthy that he reached out to Burton. Tough to say for a couple reasons...1) Burton probably has no idea who TJ is and 2) I have no idea about TJ's motivational style. RE: Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays - Ell Prez - 11-07-2024 So should i start Bateman or pick up Burton in my fantasy league? I also have Chase, so my team isn’t that bad! That part is doubtful, as I read an article stating that TJ has been in contact with Burton since day 1. https://www.cincyjungle.com/2024/11/7/24290178/t-j-houshmandzadeh-conversation-jermaine-burton-bengals Quote:It was a big day for reunions at Paycor this past Sunday. Former Pro Bowl tight end Tyler Eifert was the Ruler of the Jungle, and, as we mentioned earlier this week, another former Cincinnati Bengals star pass-catcher was in town to watch the beatdown of the Raiders, as well.
