And while this is old news to pretty much everyone on here, and probably in the NFL, it's just getting worse because now we have multiple players going this route, all at the same time, and it just tells you how wrong things seem to be going behind the scenes.

The answer is no, but if were yes then it is fair for both sides. Your view is tainted one sided for Trey. 

As for him talkig t Katie, I will speculate his agent is the one conversing with Katie and the FO, that is the agent's job.
