The defensive backfield sucked pretty much all day long They weren’t the ones covering Kittle. As I just said he did the same thing that killed a drive in the 4th quarter. If you cant run the ball you cant run the ball. Joe B just got us to overtime and was driving and ZT took the game out of his hands. In all honesty with 2 straight runs it seemed as though ZT was playing for a FG thinking the D likely would make a stop. We were already in FG range so what you're saying is he was playing to not get that Burrow pick per game. Burrow took a lot of sacks this game again, at least his picks didn't count. RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - reuben.ahmed - 12-12-2021 and yeah kittle i guess is the best TE of all time. We always make good players look like GOATs. Even trash players look like GOATs (mike white). We have no adjustment capability, or it appears as if we don't adjust. It's like we're playing madden and they keep calling the same play over and over. They should officially rename the team Bungles. It's the most fitting nickname of all nicknames. bun·gle /ˈbəNGɡəl/ verb
LOL. Look at that example. That's what's online. I would argue that his Jacksonville game is better but that doesn't change the point of your post - he lit it up today. He had a couple of lucky bounces that saved him, but for the most part he was a stud. RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - reuben.ahmed - 12-12-2021 We had a 3rd and 5 on the 19 and Burrow sack contrbuted to mcpherson's missed FG. No picks this game, great job Burrow. Let's try to stop the sacks somehow, someway. RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - rfaulk34 - 12-12-2021 (12-12-2021, 10:04 PM)Shake n Blake Wrote: It should be. We have the QB. We have a plethora of weapons. Defense was solid for 4 quarters, and most of this season. They always find a way to trip over themselves when presented with a gift (first place). Always have, always will. RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - Murdock2420 - 12-12-2021 (12-12-2021, 10:16 PM)swilson3828 Wrote: You can definitely remove Burrow from your list. The early INT that was negated by a hands to the face penalty and then another INT that doinked to Chase for a catch did actually happen. Bad throws, that the team got lucky on. The yardage total looks nice, but he took sacks in critical spots. Have to either throw it away or try to run. Yes, the 300 + yards looks great but not his best overall game at all. I'm still iffy that the Bengals offense has not married the run offense to the pass offense and they need a new offensive coordinator. The Phillips miscues def played its part, but Burrow and the Bungles were able to overcome them and were in a position to win the game until Taylor got a case of the stupids. There is no guarantee that passing the ball would have worked, but WHY run it on first and second down when the running game has been nowhere to be found all day and you were toasting them with the passing game....when a TD would have won the game? Why, all of a sudden, stop what was being very successful? Answer.......too chicken shit or too stupid.....take your choice RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - rfaulk34 - 12-12-2021 (12-12-2021, 10:04 PM)Bengalfan4life27c Wrote: We have now went 13 straight games with 16 or more points. Not done since David Shula. We contol our own destiny and we are guaranteed not to have a losing record on Christmas I'm trying to remain positive but this is the first loss in awhile that really infuriated me. Give Burrow 3 shots in OT he gets 10 yards. Fun fact: The Bengals have NEVER won an overtime game with a touchdown. n-e-v-e-r RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - Bengalfan4life27c - 12-12-2021 (12-12-2021, 10:18 PM)reuben.ahmed Wrote: We had a 3rd and 5 on the 19 and Burrow sack contrbuted to mcpherson's missed FG. How many times does this have to be said before it's simply regarded as a trend? RE: ***Week 14 GameDay Thread - 49ers @ Bengals*** - Joelist - 12-12-2021 It actually would be amazing if the Bungles would actually run plays designed to burn aggressive pass rushes. There was a brief encouraging period a couple of weeks ago when they actually ran a couple of draws and ran a screen correctly and the results were eye opening - then they went right back to letting opposing DLs tee off. Bad throws, that the team got lucky on. Another interception that doinked to Chase?? That makes zero sense. If the defender would have caught the ball there wouldn't have been a doink to Chase....just like if Bates would have caught his missed interception it would have been a pick 6 and the game. An interception that is dropped isn't a missed anything |
