I mean let that sink in. we drafted a guy because the coach liked to hang out with him. So nice. Probably got that from Belichek.

You can be happy and attack us whiners and be happy with the first 4 picks you got a 3rd string TE and a backup QB. yippee! Revel in the fact you got a new guard who might start and a backup defensive tackle! Weeeee!!!!!!

Meanwhile the rest of the division is crushing it.

The Steelers draft is very underwhelming; not much upside. Baltimore added receiving help that may open things up, but Brown is not going to block much on a running team. The Browns IMO are having the best draft, having improved both the secondary and the LB corps.

Pratt is one of the best LBs in this draft.. At least let them play before saying they are terrible.

Some fans have been crying about how bad blocking is for the Bengals. This draft addresses those areas. Maybe if the Bengals had 6 picks in rounds 1-3 they could fix other holes. Not gonna to happen in one draft.

Year two of Taylor era may fix defensive side and replace some players at the skill position. Damn people, give Taylor and new staff a honeymoon period at the very least. Bang Head

That is where i am at this year. Too many new variables to even begin to try and predict anything.

I'd like to take a shot on Emanuel Hall.

I would love to see Coney in the 6th.

Did Harmon shoot somebody or something?

Anyway, let’s look at this draft and see if we can tell anything about the overall team philosophy from whom was selected.  I think we can.  From what I can see, Zac Taylor wants to primarily run the ball on offense and stop the run on defense.  Every good team does these things.

If Sample is all he is said to be as a blocker and Jordon pans out at guard we should have a much, much better o-line this year.  I think they focused on one major flaw of the team this year and were not trying to fix everything wrong with the team in one draft. That's very hard to do.

Not sure. I was thinking the same thing about Gerald Willis.

It's fun to be a media pundit, get a lot of attention for "hot takes", pretend to know football and call out NFL talent evaluators, all while having no risk of losing a job.

Probably just as much fun to get on a message board and critique your team, as if you have as much knowledge to build an NFL team and especially assess talent. Practically no risk there too. Probably the same applies for "homers" to critique the "flakes."

Guess, who actually has a risk of losing a job? Yeah, it's the guys making the picks. So, give them a little leeway when they're staking their jobs and reputation on the line.

Of course, the last line doesn't apply to Mike Brown or his family, as they never have to put their jobs or non-existent positive reputation on the line.

So, don't take the draft too seriously.

Did you guys know that Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round?

Exactly FIK.

This is what i wanted to see. Don't understand the hate, is it the perfect draft that i wanted? I honestly don't know at this point but as far as potential it is as good as i could of hoped for. I might of wanted David Long Jr but Trayveon Williams was also a big time steal at that point and Tem might be good with Pratt and the other Linebackers on the roster...

We also might be trading for a LB like Derron Lee.

Agreed. They have Mixon who, with a decent line, could change the history of this team. And Gio is no slouch either. Why not finally give them what they need to be successful?

Yup.  People who know way more about football than me took 198 players ahead of him.  How stupid must I be?  My cat should be a QB.

These back to back picks coming up. The BAA players are WR, CB, LB. One is the go to WR of Finley at NC State. These picks will be good picks.

Okay time to make your predictions for Bengals picks 210 & 211
