The vaunted Oakland defense gave him fits today. Even with Mixon running wild, Driskel looked pitiful.

Yea, this game made his weaknesses very very apparent. The main one being "most of the time, he can't hit the broad side of a barn past 5 yards"

Meanwhile, I think Josh Johnson had a better game for the Redskins.

14 of 33 for 130 yards....wow. Thats pretty bad

Driskel managed the game (as with his other starts). That's all you can ask of a backup. He's getting good experience.

Yes, Ive seen enough to know why he is a backup QB and no more...I actually missed Dalton today! LOL
He was all over the map and on that J Ross bomb ..underthrew him?? WTF?? DOES HE HAVE AN ARM OR NOT??
Im just glad that we now know that  HE IS NOT THE LONGTERM ANSWER.

I really didn’t see enough to see why he’s a backup.

Wow! I guess there hasn't been this bad of a performance by a Bengals QB since 2014.

10-33 for 86 yards 0 TD's and 3 interceptions and a 24-3 loss to the lowly Cleveland Browns!

Jeff Driskel can start next year — but not in Cincinnati. He’s not a long term answer. He’s not even a short term answer.

O’driskel is terrible!

(Yes I know that’s not his real name)

But seriously, he is not good.

RE: Driskel should be starter next year - THE PISTONS - 12-16-2018

With no Boyd for half the game and no Green...and no receiving threat at TE...

Not may QB's will succeed.

That doesn’t excuse how badly he was missing when there was guys open.

I think Lazor needs to realize Driskell is not Andy. Seemed easy enough for Baltimore to realize Jackson is not Flacco.

RE: Driskel should be starter next year - Au165 - 12-16-2018

As I have said from the start, he is an average back up. Nothing more and nothing less.

Good coaches create gameplans that emphasize their player's strengths while masking their weaknesses.  We just run our system with the guys we have available and if we lose we just needed to do our jobs and execute better.

I didn't watch the game today, but two of my buddies that always text back and forth during games clearly did. From what I gathered, ol Jake sucked.

Driskell should be the starter? What a stupid notion.

RE: Driskel should be starter next year - Jonescincy - 12-16-2018

Yeah this guy sucks. Missing as bad as he is has nothing to do with inexperience and everything to do with just not having the accuracy needed to play the position.

ThumbsUp

He was over throwing high all day. That is my issue, missing wide open guys by 10 yards is not good. I love his athleticism, hate his accuracy!
