RE: (Preseason Week 2) ***Bengals @ Lions - GameDay Thread*** - Big Boss - 08-18-2016 I imagine some variation of "Mike is fine" in the post-game press conference. Yeah, dude could have likely made crazy money, but a WR also needs to know how to beat jams at the LOS. Never know how a sprinter would react to that. Or getting hit. Or how good his hands at, for that matter. RE: (Preseason Week 2) ***Bengals @ Lions - GameDay Thread*** - Stonyhands - 08-18-2016 We scored three TDs and only have 20 points. Did we go for 2 or miss an xp? RE: (Preseason Week 2) ***Bengals @ Lions - GameDay Thread*** - ShowMeUrTDs - 08-18-2016 So, when injuries start to pile up at this rate...do we need to start questioning the strength and conditioning program, as well??? Wouldn't surprise me if it were lacking compared to the rest of the league. RE: (Preseason Week 2) ***Bengals @ Lions - GameDay Thread*** - Joelist - 08-18-2016 missed XP. Both have had plenty of issues of their own. Maybe they'll give a couple of youngsters a workout, but I doubt it. I think it's Nugent's job regarless what he does (or doesn't do) this preseason. Yeah, didn't say it'd work out performance-wise, but he would have gotten paid by someone willing to toss some money at him to find out. There's also a difference in body type. Ismail: 5'11, 188 Bolt: 6'5, 207 Bolt has pretty much the same body type as Green's 6'4, 207. Not saying he'd play like Green, but he has the more prototypical body. Start looking at UDFA, worst case they can miss FG and PAT, too, but cheaper, plus have the chance to actually surprise you and do well. That's ridiculous. I wish I could have a job where I was required to do 2 things only and suck really bad at both of them and never have anything to worry about and get paid really really well for sucking at those two things for less than half a year.
