Can the Bengals be competitive and sign his preferred assistant coaches Even if it means letting go of some of the previous regime holdovers?

Eric Washington - May be in consideration to coach the Dline. He has an interesting background outside of the Bills history which I witnessed the Bengals carve through first hand.

David Borgonzi - sounds legit I wouldn’t mind seeing him here.

Andre Curtis. I’m ok with keeping Burkes around but Kovacks hasn’t done enough to fight to keep around. He is a Lou’s guy through and through and I’d like to see someone else get the shot. I like what I read about Curtis.

EB made Billings good and Billings is a FA this year.

I feel if we hire a DC and he does his job, ZT will win a lot more games than he loses making the replace Zac crowd go mute or be muted by most fans.

If a former head coach does a poor job, why would fans want him to replace Zac. Your earlier post just makes no sense.

I tip at least 20% for good service, at least 25% for great service. How many saying MB is cheap, frugal and whatever stingy need to look in the mirror.

Not a relevant argument, honestly.  Mike should be compared to fellow billionaire owners, not message board denizens.

That said, Idk if cheap is the word.  I'd say he lacks creativity and agility when it comes to contracts.

Not at all.

Wouldn't hate Eberflus.  Honestly wouldn't hate Patrick Graham, either.

I wouldn't mind Mike Tomlin as our DC

I gained some respect for Garrett as well. Dude was pure class when that Ravens o-lineman asked for his jersey.

I'm not saying they make sense. All I'm saying is the Zac haters will be waiting to pounce and start yelling for MB to fire Zac and promote Eberflus. It's no different than having a good QB in the #2 position, things don't go exactly right and all of a sudden it's a quarterback controversy. C'mon, it's not like it hasn't happened before. ANd don't get me wrong, I'm not hacking on Eberflus, he's probably my favorite candidate right now, but if you don't think this will breed a coaching controversy, like I said, just hide and watch.

Garrett has always been a class guy. I wish we had him opposite Trey.

I think it make me dislike Hairball more. Talk about a coach being up a QB's butt.... has Lamar made a pass in practice yet that Hairball wasn't just gushing all over? It's a little over the top. I still think Tomlin coaches his players to play dirty.

people on message boards love coaches and players that have name and exposure..I don't know how you could say Eberflus is your favorite candidadte when in fact they may been interviewing a dozen that we don't know about..juts saying

Well if you actually read what I wrote, that's why I put the "right now" in the sentence. It's subject to change as more names are added.

Big fat Mike is leaving the cowboys which probably makes Zimmerman available.

Some of those kids would be in for a big wake up call if he came back.

I’d be open to it, still lives in the area too doesn’t he?

RE: DC/OL wish list - SunsetBengal - 01-13-2025

Since most of the chatter has been about potential DC candidates, have we heard/read anything about possible OL coach candidates?

RE: DC/OL wish list - jj22 - 01-13-2025

I'm (or was) a huge Zimmer fan. I say was because I hope he doesn't return. 10 years ago maybe. But time has passed him by. Hopefully the FO doesn't get lazy and content.

People complained about Lou having the #25 ranked scoring defense.  Zimmer was 6 spots behind Lou with the #31 ranked defense.  The only team worse than the Cowboys were the Panthers.  I appreciate what Zimmer did in his time with the Bengals but we need someone else.
