RE: Bengals fire Lou Anarumo, Frank Pollack, James Bettcher and Marion Hobby - Forever Spinning Vinyl - 01-06-2025 Tired of Zac getting credit for the offense . . . whenever you see Joe have to scramble or buy time . . . that means that Zac called a play that did not work and the talented QB and receivers are improvising on the spot. Worried that it might take a couple of years to get the roster that's needed to truly break away from Lou's zone system. We all knew Zac wasn’t going anywhere regardless. Hope this works out. lol I would literally just draft OL/DL. This team can be elite with solid lines. Make it happen Duke, considering you should have been in with the fires. yeah but we could be in the playoff with better head coaching decisions this year. hopefully hes taking a hard look in the mirror at his boneheaded decisions RE: Bengals fire Lou Anarumo, Frank Pollack, James Bettcher and Marion Hobby - Frank Booth - 01-06-2025 (01-06-2025, 05:23 PM)Forever Spinning Vinyl Wrote: Tired of Zac getting credit for the offense . . . whenever you see Joe have to scramble or buy time . . . that means that Zac called a play that did not work and the talented QB and receivers are improvising on the spot. damn. Josh Allen's OC must be garbage RE: Bengals fire Lou Anarumo, Frank Pollack, James Bettcher and Marion Hobby - Luvnit2 - 01-06-2025 (01-06-2025, 05:20 PM)Frank Booth Wrote: you actually think Allen is better than Burrow? I mean, I can understand Mahomes and even the choke artist Lamar Jackson Does Allen have one of best WR's in football and another true #1 WR to throw to? Check out Allen's rushing yards and rushing TD's. Burrow is the best pocket passer in the NFL in my opinion, but Jackson and Allen both bring an RB threat at QB also. One of those teams being Washington with a ROOKIE QB, and another in Tampa who had a reclamation project on his 4th team at QB. But sure, what Zac did with Burrow and Chase was super impressive. Josh Allen has an o-line that is top 5 in the league. Burrow's is bottom 3 just ignore that though. And you are clearly fascinated by Allen's athleticism RE: Bengals fire Lou Anarumo, Frank Pollack, James Bettcher and Marion Hobby - Nicomo Cosca - 01-06-2025 (01-06-2025, 05:25 PM)Frank Booth Wrote: damn. Josh Allen's OC must be garbage KC and Ravens also be garbage Lions have best OL in football and give Goff time to look like a Superstar Bengals OL had 2 lousy guards and then lost their 2 starting tackles for big chunks of the season. Why did pass plays break down? I guess it was bad play calling. Allen still has to scramble outside the pocket a lot. the other poster said when Burrow does it, it's because Zac made a bad play call. If that is the logic, then Bills oc is as bad as Zac and theyre a well balanced offense because they have to be. They dont have an elite receiver. I would love a more balanced attack in cincy, but people and fans will be killing Zac if he starts running it more. Zac cant win with this fanbase. 2021 he was getting killed for running it too much RE: Bengals fire Lou Anarumo, Frank Pollack, James Bettcher and Marion Hobby - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 01-06-2025 (01-06-2025, 03:49 PM)ochocincos Wrote: Volson, like Cappa, was pretty limited athletically. For sure, need more athletic O-lineman with strength and better technique on the interior. I new OL coach can help with the technique, but athleticism and strength cannot really be coached up. Neither can heart. (01-06-2025, 03:50 PM)Nicomo Cosca Wrote: Let’s hope they give the next guy much better to work with. Well, I am sure players like that would look a lot better with Bill or Dante. Jonah Williams was the consensus most safe pick in his Draft according to most and had a better year this year in Zona. Mims is the only one there that could be great of that bunch though that is for sure. Not good picks besides Mims. Also the proven FA's the FO brought in were better on their previous teams which is a sign of poor coaching. He cannot develop lesser talent at all. Mims was good this year cause Mims is polished. A new OL coach that knows how to develop could make a player like Mims All Pro. Would love to see what a good one could also do with a few new players on the interior. (01-06-2025, 04:23 PM)TheLeonardLeap Wrote: Yup. When he became the OL Coach for the Cowboys, they already had 2 1st Team All-Pros (both future HoFers) and 1 2nd Team All-Pro (who would be a future HoFer if a serious medical condition didn't make him retire young) on that OL. True, also great point on Ben Johnson. If he didn't have maybe the best OL in football along with all that talent who knows what his Offense would look like. Sewell, Ragnow, Gibbs, St. Brown, LaPorta, Jameson Williams etc is pretty stacked and Goff is a good QB.
