Always playing from behind, so the team passes a lot.

Catching balls from a future hall of fame QB.

Never getting covered by the #1CB and often overlooked due to the attention the defense gives to Chase.

The idea he would want traded to a team where he would be covered by the #1CB, face more double teams, and catch balls from an inferior, less accurate, QB is silly.

I do not want to re-sign Tee unless it is at a discount, or there is an injury clause in his contract, but I believe he wants to remain a Bengal because the world knows how good he has it in Cincinnati.

This is not really true though. Some teams choose to put their best CB on Tee, and then double Chase. We’ve actually seen it fairly often over the years.

The smart thing is still to do what kc did and even buffalo with not retaining Diggs

Buffalo, Kc, and baltimore do not need 2 stud wide receivers to win.

100%

They sign Tee to a nice contract. They then tag Chase. Riots ensue.

They’ve already picked up Chase’s 5th year. Unless you meant in 2026.

RE: Tee vs a NEW D - Synric - 01-04-2025

I see alot of people saying the Bengals can replace Tee easily... They have spent 3 picks in 2 different draft classes trying to replace Tyler Boyd and with very mixed results at best.

Im not as sold they can draft to replace Tee especially quickly enough to take advantage of Joe's prime window.

They gambled with a 3rd on a guy who was always going to be either a giant hit or giant miss. The other 2 picks were a 6th rounder and an already old 4th rounder.

That’s really not taking your wr2 spot seriously. They’ve been so foolish

Welcome to the world of drafting there is only so many premium picks to go around. If they are using one on a WR it's one they can't use on OL and DL.

Nope, I forgot the year. Riots anyway.

Yeah but they have a reputation among the fans at being good at drafting the position. I mean nobody saw Ja'Marr Chase, AJ Green, or Tee Higgins coming.

Even Boyd broke some of Larry Fitzgerald’s records at Pitt. Not all that much scouting needed on him either. I feel like the last gem they really *found* at WR was probably Marvin Jones. That’s well over a decade ago at this point.

but duke when interviewed about not trading up will be quick to point out that he drafted marvin jones in the 5th and geno atkins in the 4th

It was the last time... Even Sanu was kinda regarded pretty highly coming outta Rutgers. I also think that coaching staff was better at talent evaluation than this current group. Zac and the boys haven't pulled off a Tyler Boyd or Marvin Jones yet.

Jay and Johnathan Hayes were a major part of the scouting while they were in Cincy.

Before yyou're ready to wave byebye to Tee Higgins just ask yourself if the Bengals have EVER screwed up by letting a great player go in free agency.. Of course not.. Everyone knows that..  Ninja

ok so we should be fine as fans to just give burrow whatever he wants even if that means being eternally 8-9/9-8? Because idk how you truly fix other parts of this team when so much money is going into the wr position.

the bills chiefs and ravens dont even do that crap

Partially because they’ve never had 2 WR’s that good at the same time.

RE: Tee vs a NEW D - Bengalitis - 01-04-2025

our offense and defense have been complicit in not closing games that were winnable, the offense finally took one to the house with the Broncos.

We don't have to do anything drastic, hopefully we can replace our secondary and work to keep Teeggins.

this team always starts slow..like really slow.. the FO needs to have a good talk with Zac with next season's expectations early in the season.

Yea but the point is those teams never had issues moving on from their receivers(Diggs, Tyreek, Hollywood Brown)

Depends how you define issues. Cause both Buffalo and the Lamar era Ravens have certainly had issues in the playoffs. I’m sure Baltimore would have loved to have some help for Zay Flowers in the AFC Championship game last year when they only scored 10 points.
