The Oilers actually played in Memphis in 1997 as the Tennessee Oilers.

RE: The Fans have spoken - grampahol - 12-03-2018

Remember the old mother ship when certain members would insist that people NOT buying tickets and jerseys and other paraphernalia just weren't real fans?
I recall one in particular...
"You don't buy 'gear' so your opinion doesn't count so just shut up!"
I guess I've just never been a real fan since I've never purchased a single thing from the Mikey corporation.
I actually got banned once for arguing against that iron clad argument for foolishly buying Mikey crap..  In my defense I have purchased AND consumed Life cereal though.. Mikey likes it..

44,000? The city of Cincinnati probably ought to highly invest in mental health services at this point if 44,000 actually went to the game ..

I’m sure we had more than 15k season ticket holders. Which means the att Neanderthal will be announced as higher. For example there was probably closer ton30k yesterday

If seats sold truly doesn't matter to Mike, then the fans have, literally, no power.

And probably right about the time the Oilers said bye bye.

as long as all you fans keep going to these games, nothing changes. If only 10000 showed up,Marvin would be gone.just sayin

This isn't even remotely true.

The ticket numbers always include assumption 100% of season ticket holders show up. So, if team has 38K in season tickets or the deals they offer for multiple games, it will show that as the minimum.

It does not mean that many are in the stadium.

It matters. He could be making even more.

Yeah it looked like it was literally half full yesterday. Even Daughtery commented on this, saying to him there it looked like around 30-35 thousand, not 44K which was reported.

It's plenty enough to keep the franchise afloat!

How do you think Cleveland has survived all these years since they left town?

Yes, the fans have spoken. And Mike has answered. Here it is...

Here’s a seldom mentioned point re attendance/fan malaise. My wife and I generally watch bengals games together, whether it’s at home, a friends house or a sports bar. She indulges my fantasy football and general nfl fandom so I don’t bail on her for bengals games. She’s reached the point this year where she’s done with them. I’m done watching them mostly as well.

When the moderate fan starts bailing you got trouble

I heard too that the 44,000 was tickets sold, not even people who attended. Apparently, the number attended was probably around half of the stadium, so in the 30's.

RE: The Fans have spoken - chopperbobby - 12-03-2018

I though the attendance is based on the number of tickets Scanned at the gate?

That was definately the emptiest i have seen the stadium and i sure saw a lot of Bronco fans.

I think MB has to acknowledge this, atleast Katie and Troy have to.
