RE: Cody ford - Yogo - 03-01-2019 Just FYI, if you compare offensive linemen and look for trends, you'll notice guys with long arms bench press way less reps than guys with short arms. Science. Good OTs have long arms to keep rushers away from grabbing their body and gaining an advantage. Shorter armed linemen end up being guards and centers. 19 reps isn't that bad if his arm length is 35+ inches. RE: Cody ford - Chezaugie - 03-01-2019 Color me crazy but what about drafting NC State center Garrett Bradbury at #11? 4.92 40!? He is having a great combine. Or Erik McCoy in 2nd round. This would also solve the guard issue by moving Billy. Price would be a great guard. Still need tackles. Bradbury I have questions about his play strength RE: Cody ford - ochocincos - 03-07-2019 (03-01-2019, 08:46 PM)Chezaugie Wrote: Color me crazy but what about drafting NC State center Garrett Bradbury at #11? 4.92 40!? I can see that, but if I'm doing that, I want to still give Price a chance at C, plus I don't want to see a first round pick put toward C again so soon. Because of that, I'd go with Dalton Risner (Rd 2), who has played both C and OT in college, projected as a good option for C, RT, and RG. It helps that the Bengals met with Risner at his Pro Day already too. He just seems a little short, feet a little too slow, to be an NFL OT. I could be wrong, but I think a lot of teams will look at him as an OG. His saving grace might be the fact that there really aren't any obvious top-tier OTs in this draft, but if he ends up being our pick I'd much rather see him at 42 than 11. |
