I don't really go anywhere and do much complaining about anything, especially things I can't control.  I actually have a very low tolerance for complaining, particularly the excessive kind.

I've also found that when I do complain, the reaction I mostly get is STFU.

You can't state the obvious about how bad of a track record Mike Brown has - we all know he does! - but him and his family aren't just going to read the posts and decide to step aside. It's a pointless discussion to have... we all know it and we're all stuck with it.

You also seem to have this weird idea that this board is full of people who blindly support the Bengals in everything they do, and I haven't seen that at all. They get criticized when they deserve to get criticized. You seem to be confusing optimism (ie, "I'd like to see what ZT can do before I pass judgement") and seem to interpret that as "ZT is God's gift to coaching". You read someone say "well it's only one day into free agency, I'll reserve judgement" and interpret that as "I am perfectly fine with what the Bengals are doing". It's like some weird type of persecution complex.

I mean geez, if you can't feign or work up the slightest bit of optimism in the offseason how have you ever made it decades as a Bengals fan? Lord knows they don't exactly hand out positive vibes on a yearly basis, take it where you can get it.

I used to get optimistic about the offseason...then wham I'd get disappointed. Now I don't get my hopes up.

You have to admit that this Hart signing is a new recent low.

You're the guy that starts threads criticizing Hobson.

And you're also the guy that said 'Let's wait and see' on Lazor and Austin. Are you ready to render a verdict on their tenures?

I don't remember ever saying that on either one.  Do you have a catalog of things I've said?  That's kinda creepy.

Render a verdict?  That is some serious nonsense.  Maybe I don't take myself that seriously.

And you just keep missing the point.

Were the Lazor and Austin eras successful? You dodged the question.

It was too stupid to bother answering.

And you still don't get it.

After 27+ years, I get it. Same. Pattern. Over. And. Over.

You're right about the over and over part.

And you still don't get it.

Dude, on the grand scheme of lows the Bengals have hit the Hart signing isn't even a footnote. If that's the worst thing that happens in the next 12 months the Bengals are doing fine. Such hyperbole really makes it hard to buy anything you're selling.

You want to talk lows? Choking away a playoff game on two stupid penalties in the last two minutes of a game is the benchmark. Paying Antonio Bryant a huge pile of money to never play a single game for them is a low. Keeping Ken Zampese around is a low. Choking away a game against the Steelers on my birthday is a low. If I can make it through all of those the signing of Bobby Hart sure as hell isn't going to move the needle for me.

Wow, those Bengals losses are totally comparable to what all the other teams in the division lost.  Sarcasm
