Actually Beans are not in "real" chili. RE: I finally left Cincinnati. - fredtoast - 10-06-2015 (10-06-2015, 10:15 PM)J24 Wrote: Actually Beans are not in "real" chili. Depends. But many chili cook offs don't include chili with beans. Like 1,200 miles away moved, lol!I used to live in Denver. King Supers is owned by Kroger, and if you go to the frozen section, you will find all the Skyline you can eat. Still one of the greatest things on planet ***** earth. But yes, you are right, in comparison to what would generally be called chili, not even close. I've won chili cook-offs (local stuff, nothing to write home about). But chili is 90% about the smell. You throw in all your stuff and if it smells right, it almost always tastes right. Add in noodles, you've got spicy spaghetti. I agree with you though Texas style chili is really good its just not as good as the Nati style chili. Or is there an actual Canyon City here, too? We took a little back road trip down to Pueblo this week. The views were amazing. Thought we were in some sort of national park, but we weren't. It really never gets old! RE: I finally left Cincinnati. - BengalB - 10-07-2015 (10-07-2015, 12:30 AM)Westwood Bengal Wrote: I used to live in Denver. I'll rack up my Kroger points in no time, lol. When we came out in early September I thought it was called King Scoopers, lol...Now I just call it King Kroger's. Who knows if we will ever move back but I REALLY needed a change of pace, life, scenery and had to get away from a few toxic and horrible members of my family. Nothing makes a statement like picking up and leaving for someplace as awesome as Colorado and 1,200 miles away! They can keep their miserable bullshit. I'm not interested in that life. All the stoners here would love the addition of noodles and cheese to their chili, I believe. They've got a TON of noodle restaturants...Not much cheese though. They don't let Kentuckians in? I can see that.
