What is even more amazing is that in three of those season where he hit at least 20 HR he finished in the TOP TEN in the NL in HR
1973...26 HR...10th
1974...22 HR...10th
1976...27 HR... 5th
in 2019 (last full season) there were 47 players in the National league who hit at least 22 HR. Joe played in one of the deadest of the dead ball eras.
