Most people had been outraged that Marvin was brought back after the 2017 season, but 5 games into 2018 we were looking pretty good. We already had wins against the Falcons who had won a playoff game the year before; the Ravens who would be 2018 AFC North Champions; and the Colts who would also win a playoff game that year. Our only loss was to the the Panthers who had won 11 games the year before. We had outscored our opponents by 23 points which was 7th best in the league. If the Bengals lose out Mike Brown’s career winning percentage will be in the .3’s. In a league set up for parity, Mike’s 30 years will have resulted in a winning percentage 20 percentage points below average. That puts him in select company with the worst owner/GM’s in professional sports history. The failure starts at the top of the organization. Accepting failure from above leads to accepting failure throughout the organization. Then Dalton threw three tds, passed for a 2p conversion, and ran for a 2P conversion. We converted on 4th down twice and recovered an onside kick. Most conflicting game ever. I looked at the clock and I think it said 1:06. 66 seconds. And I thought: "Too much time". |
