For anyone who likes British indie music of the 1990s there's a brilliant band from York called shed seven, their song " it's getting better" certainly fits the bill. If I knew how to put up a link to YouTube for it I would, but I don't so I won't.

Like everyone else who lived through the 80's I am sure that a couple of things about the current Bengal team immediately bring to mind two big hits by that 80's monster hitmaker James Taylor.
Regarding the Super Bowl appearance, these lines from "Fire and Rain" seem most apropos. . .
I've seen fire and I've seen rain. I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end.
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend, but I always thought that I'd see you again.
And, of course, whenever a Bengal fan sees Burrow's impish grin these lines from "You've Got a Friend" come to mind.
When you're down and troubled

To brighten up even your darkest night
And finally, as I contemplate Mike Brown winning his first playoff game ever and now finding himself in the Super Bowl I keep hearing ths strains of a song from another musical giant of the 80's Dan Fogleburg. Can't you all just imagine Mike thinking about his father's legacy and softly signing to himself these lines from "Leader of the Band"

Call me crazy but there is just something magical about this Burrow guy. He has the face of a HS kid, that impish grin , and those eyes that lets you know that HE knows another opponent is about to be buried. It's like the guy just wills it into existence. He wants it, expects that it will happen, and, allows the Universe to manifest his desire. And his attitude seems to rub off on his teammates.
The guy has won our hearts and , I tell you, he CAN do magic !!!

Probably the most mature song David Lee Roth wrote outside of Van Halen. Great 80s ballad and it got little to no airplay. I was shocked when his label never pushed it as a single and also later when they left it off of his album, "Best".
