He's being used primarily as a DE, and there's no way he takes over there for Hendrickson/Hubbard.
He's just a mediocre pressure guy.
While Carter isn't there yet obviously, I see him having more opportunity because he's predominantly playing inside, and the Bengals will be losing multiple DTs in the next couple years.
Sample is better thought of as Hubbard's backup. An excellent run stopping end who can play inside on passing downs.
Hendrickson & Ossai are our pass rush guys.
We are hoping Murphy turns into a guy who can do both, but more of a run stopping end right now.
