This comment seems to imply that there is a significant difference in talent, or ability, between Mixon and this Adrian Peterson person......

Before clicking into the thread realizing it's talking about three OL, I thought this was gonna be the offensive playcalling wiz kids Taylor, Callahan, and Pollack Hilarious

2008 Adrian Peterson (age 23 season)
2009 Chris Johnson (age 24 season)
2010 Arian Foster (age 24 season)
2011 Maurice Jones-Drew (age 26 season)
2012 Adrian Peterson (age 27 season)
2013 LeSean McCoy (age 25 season)
2014 DeMarco Murray (age 26 season)

2016 Ezekiel Elliott (age 21 season)
2017 Kareem Hunt (age 22 season)
2018 Ezekiel Elliott (age 23 season)
2019 Derrick Henry (age 25 season)
2020 Derrick Henry (age 26 season)
2021 Jonathan Taylor (age 22 season)
2022 Josh Jacobs (age 24 season)

All guys in their age 26 season or younger plus Adrian Peterson.

I think once LBs stopped being 250-260lb goliaths (due to having to cover pass catching TEs and RBs) they became quicker in short term acceleration and the DE position became an athlete position of guys who are running 4.5s, RBs aren't really able to lose a step anymore and still be great because everyone on defense is just too quick and fast now.

CMC is likely gonna get this award this year pending health in his age 27 season and 7th year in the league. This has as much to do with OL as it does the rb itself. That said, play Chase brown so we know what we have. Mixon isn’t it.

Maybe the best rb in the last 30 years. Ladanian Tomlinson and a healthy Derrick Henry is the only other guys I can think would be in the conversation.

Could really still be them…

Probably true for CMC this year, but that is assuming he stays healthy, which is anything but a guarantee with him.

Also more a statement about this year than it is about CMC.

CMC in 2023 has 85.4 yards per game...

2008 Adrian Peterson (age 23 season) 110.0 ypg
2009 Chris Johnson (age 24 season) 125.4 ypg
2010 Arian Foster (age 24 season) 101.0 ypg
2011 Maurice Jones-Drew (age 26 season) 100.4 ypg
2012 Adrian Peterson (age 27 season) 131.1 ypg
2013 LeSean McCoy (age 25 season) 100.4 ypg
2014 DeMarco Murray (age 26 season) 115.3 ypg
2015 Adrian Peterson (age 30 season) 92.8 ypg
2016 Ezekiel Elliott (age 21 season) 108.7 ypg
2017 Kareem Hunt (age 22 season) 82.9 ypg
2018 Ezekiel Elliott (age 23 season) 95.6 ypg
2019 Derrick Henry (age 25 season) 102.7 ypg
2020 Derrick Henry (age 26 season) 126.7 ypg
2021 Jonathan Taylor (age 22 season) 106.5 ypg
2022 Josh Jacobs (age 24 season) 97.2 ypg

...So he would be the 2nd lowest of that time, by a healthy amount. He wouldn't generally sniff league lead in a different year. It actually shocked me when I saw he was the lead this year, and the second highest is well behind him. Mostert is the 2nd highest rusher this year and is 14 yards per game behind CMC.

I was being sarcastic, totally agree.
