Rapien updated today on X that Burrow apparently is throwing.

The entire video disgusts me. I recently injured my back just moving a half empty propane tank 5 feet earlier this month and I didn't even jump anywhere with it.... Whatever I guess old age didn't help much..

Don't worry, Burrow will probably hurt his back when he's 100, too.  Ninja

Good to hear Burrow throwing. Hopefully we've dodged one more bullet as it relates to a career threatening or a significantly changing of the projection of his career type injury.

Bengals can't keep tempting fate.

Awesome, I like what I am hearing.

I was wondering about that myself.

Weird post by Frank, give him an extra week in the regular season 5 months before Training Camp lol

Good to see! However as I posted back on 3/26, everything thus far has shown a neutral grip, which requires much less strength from the wrist.

Still encouraging to see him pulling up his entire body weight with that wrist. At the very least he seems to be right on track.

And with no brace of any kind. His body weight, plus that medicine ball he's gripping and lifting with his thighs. That's got to be a killer core workout.

RE: Joey B - Making REAL progress - Joelist - 04-10-2024

Remember that he also has been confirmed throwing too.

Take a moment and hold a football as if you're going to throw it, now look at the hand/wrist position as it relates to the rest of the forearm, you'll notice that is a neutral alignment. Likely just following the guidance of his PT specialist.

Great point. Some just can't resist the temptation to say the sky is falling.

Great news, it is April, hopefully is 100% by camp.

Oe more thing, different injuries cause a person to work harder on specific muscle groups. I remember when I tore my ACL, MCL and both meniscus, as part of my rehab everything I did for my injured left knee, I did for my right knee. I have a hunch Joe is the type of person and will build muscle mass in his wrists and other body parts as a part of his rehab.

Hopeflly,he comes into 2024 in the best shape of his life.

And as competitive as he is, don't think for one minute he hasn't heard the noise from his detractors...

Just more great news, this thread is like a fine wine. Smirk

No one said the sky is falling.

I think you are right on when it comes to following guidance of a PT specialist. I don’t think the football throwing motion and his workout grip are related. I fully believe (know?) that the neutral grip is part of the program to limit the risk of re-injury. My point was, and will be, while the workout videos are great (which I said originally), just know that if we only see neutral grip workouts, it may indicate the wrist isn’t fully better yet.

RE: Joey B - Making REAL progress - IcoHolic - 04-10-2024

Man.. I just want the offense to have a full camp together. No more 0-2!

RE: Joey B - Making REAL progress - BFritz21 - 04-10-2024

Let's just hope we finally give him some protection and he can have a healthy season and time in the pocket to pick defenses apart!

Pollack, I'll trust you because I have no other choice, so do some work so we're not looking at the same shit-show of a line that we've previously seen under you!

You're the key to our success!

The rings actually allow the wrist to turn so it is not an isolated neutral grip versus something like a neutral grip pull up bar. Again this more closely resembles a throwing motion which also has a fair amount of turn. I do not think this is to limit re-injury. There IS a slight strength difference required in a straight grip vs a neutral grip but not enough imo to worry about an injury if he is doing this amount of pulling with a neutral grip. jmo.
