So Zac said "tightness", then I read elsewhere that it is "tendinitis" but idk of what tendon/body part or if that's even true. If it's "tightness", yeah that seems like an issue where he didn't pass his physical because tightness typically means you're lacking some endurance/stability. So he might not have passed some PT related tests. Tendinitis, however, means your tendons is getting stressed out because of muscular weakness. If your muscle is too weak to do a task, the tendon become aggravated. So that's not some terrible injury, but if not treated properly, it could result in something worse. Better to keep him just doing rehab stuff than risking an in-camp injury for a vet who doesn't necessarily need the reps the same way rookies do.

Would guess as have others he’s out of shape and needs to get in shape. If he didn’t pass the physical he probably couldn’t last the basic fitness test. Looking at video of him walking in with Mims he didn’t look in shape.

We knew Trent Brown was injury prone before we signed him but he cant even make it to training camp before being placed on an injury list? Not a good sign. Hopefully Mims is ready because he is probably going to see a lot of playing time this year. Im not counting on Brown.

Worst case, is Ford or Carman the backup RT to Mims if Brown misses time?

Carman cant play the right side of the line and I think Ford is the worst offensive lineman we have.   I dont know how he made the team last year.   I wouldnt want either at RT.

It's long been rumored he wouldn't make the final 53...

Rumored by who? I haven't seen anyone say this.

Brown being as surprise cut has been the talk on social media for months now.

A cursory look isn't showing anything of note. I am not suggesting that no one has said this, but it doesn't really look like anyone of importance has said this. I am not betting my life on him not getting cut, but there's no reason to think it'll happen IMO.

All I've ever seen is speculation he may lose the starting RT spot to Mims. I've not seen anyone predict he would be cut.

The only way we were able to get Trent Brown as cheap as we did was because he is injury prone. No surprise.

Great swing Tackle when healthy though and worth the investment if he can get healthy when we need him.

Leaning towards Amarius taking the starting RT spot though after this and that might not be a bad thing.

Love Amarius Mims and he has been impressing all Offseason from what I have heard.

By who? A mofo who just likes to talk?

Brown will not be cut that’s insane

Even if he was hurt a lot we’d just take the chance and keep him because his upside is so great

Exactly, it would be dumb to cut Trent Brown. Dude is cheap and is a proven quality swing Tackle when he is healthy.
