Because if this was a normal organization, they would take that $25M/year and sign the best available free agent. In that case we’re training an offense piece for a defense piece. You're not going to get a defensive player equal to what Tee brings to the offense at this time of the year. It's just not going to happen. RE: Letting Tee walk would essentially be doing the same thing you did to the D, to the O - 2MinutesHate - 10-07-2024 We will just have to wait and see what the old man wants to do. I imagine he keeps Lou and tries to keep Tee too. Was Palmer out last trade? I can't even remember anymore. Burrow may have to take him for a long ride in the golf cart. Good teams cannot keep all their good talent with the salary cap. They would have had to let at least one of Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Bates, Reader, Wilson, and/or Pratt walk. This is the entire purpose of drafting and developing well. You need to be able to have replacements if and when your proven guys leave here and there. RE: Letting Tee walk would essentially be doing the same thing you did to the D, to the O - Mer - 10-07-2024 Despite all the (understandable) negativity, this season is far from over and I still strongly believe this team will still make a push for the playoffs. All this trade talk is loser speech. We're barely over 1/4 of the way into the season and half the folks on this board want to throw in the towel. Suck it up! Are you really fans!? Talking about dismantling this team for the future is 90's talk. I'm calling it now. We will be 5-4 the next time we face the Ravens!!!! Problem is, who trades for him with Adams, Cheetah, and D-Hop also on the block? RE: Letting Tee walk would essentially be doing the same thing you did to the D, to the O - casear2727 - 10-07-2024 #1. The offense obviously needs Tee. He frees up Chase and makes quality plays. #2. We draft like shit. It is comical to think Duke and Lou will make great picks. The only reason I would support trading Tee is if their plan is to let him walk for nothing. I would absolutely be in favor of an extension or a second tag. That's right Sled! It's WAAAYYYY too early to quit on this team. The Ravens are a very good team. Should we have beat them? Yes! But it is what it is. Our next 4 games are at the Giants (2-3), at Cleveland (1-4), Philly (2-2) at home, and the Raiders (2-3) at home. I know we stink against Cleveland but Watson is terrible. We usually bring our A game against the NFC. And the Raiders don't have a QB. I'm predicting 6-5 at the Bye and all the Debbie Downers will be back on the wagon train acting like they never left. You may be right, but I may be as well. Heck, I watched every game in the 90's and every time we got a lead I'd wonder how it was going to get blown. We're far from the pathetic team fielded back then, so why not stay positive? It honestly doesn't affect my week at all if they win or lose. I have a family, full-time job, and a business to run that are more important than a team I have no financial investment in other than game days and on this board. I think our D is the worst I've ever witnessed, 90s included. |
