He has disappointed me, but I am not ready to give up on him yet. Burrow seems to target him mostly deep so the 28.6 catch percentage may be reflective as a result. Joe missed him and gave him no shot to win one on one on most of those throws. He already knows what he's getting from Burton, and i'm not going to rehash the red flags and let downs he's had this year. Imagine being an adult man and still being treated like a teenager. That would demoralize the team having a manchild as someone you have to work with and succeed. They need to start looking for a dumb & dumber team to trade him with next season RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - Browns Town Bengal - 12-14-2024 Cut him sooner rather than later RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - bfine32 - 12-14-2024 I was not a fan of the pick when we made it but I willing to give the kid more than 3/4 of a season. WTS, the WR I wanted w/ that pick was Romeo Wilson, that dude hasn't played all season RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - jj22 - 12-14-2024 (12-14-2024, 12:43 PM)bfine32 Wrote: I was not a fan of the pick when we made it but I willing to give the kid more than 3/4 of a season. You look better making that catch than Burton has in the games he's played in.I'm the Randy Moss of cripples in that video, so that's not really a fair comparison to give to Burton (12-14-2024, 11:27 AM)samhain Wrote: Hated the pick and don't like the results much, either. Guys like him usually wait to show their ass until they establish a solid reputation on the field as pros. He went full turd right away. That shows a lack of discipline and maturity. Dude is toxic. We're probably fortunate that he proved this early rather than doing it after becoming a key part of the offense. I think we need him to come through so it's not a wasted pick and to make it easier or have some leverage if Tee plays hardball. Like I said, I'm hoping Burrow shows some leadership and sits him down to tell him "look, we need you. I run this team. Quit being a dumbass or you'll never see the ball or the field." RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - Millhouse - 12-15-2024 I will be shocked if Burton ever ends up as a legitimate starter in the league. He has the physical tools to be a starter, but thats about it as of now imo. RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - bfine32 - 12-15-2024 Just heard an interview w/ Button and he was asked who alive or dead he's like to have a conversation with. His pick: President Eisenhower because he talked with the Aliens. RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - TKUHL - 12-15-2024 I think it’s too soon to write Burton off. He needs to learn as much as he can this off season. I’m actually more shocked that Chuck Sizzle has done nothing for us other than a kick return. Burton should have said Brad so he could get tips on that 1 hander! Think this is the only time I've ever thumbed down a Wyche post lol. Again, if the guy is ASD, every single thing that has been reported about him, makes sense 100%. Someone like that needs to be supported, not treated like shit and called names. Seems like to succeed in the NFL, you also need leaning abilities.. famthom that in your tiny noodle! IF he has a learning disability, which you're seemingly treating as fact rather than the assumption it currently is, yes he deserves to be supported in life. Just not in the NFL. He's making millions in a sport worth billions and is a part of making or breaking the careers of dozens of his teammates and staff members. If he runs the wrong route because he didn't learn the playbook, the pass gets intercepted, and the Bengals lose... that's potentially coaches fired, families having to move across the country, kids having to leave their friends and go to a new school, and the season over for his teammates. His actions effect far more than just himself, so while yet he should be supported in life IF he turns out to have a learning disability (which currently is just an armchair diagnosis from people on the internet who have probably never personally interacted with him) but that doesn't need to be while on the Bengals. Alternatively to the potential you seem to be all-in on believing is true, there's also the possibility that he is just fine and just so happens to be a turd. He’s made a few splash plays already. He needs to get his details down. They trust him enough to return kicks and it looks like he’s learning the ropes of being a pro. The pic of Hubbard talking with him on the sideline today was a good look. It’s not like he was drafted /needed to start this year. I do think he needs to get some learning experience/ evaluation at the WR positions if Bengals are eliminated from playoff contention RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - NotBigzo - 12-16-2024 (12-16-2024, 01:24 AM)Truck_1_0_1_ Wrote: As mentioned 90,000 times already, if it turns out he has a learning disability or is ASD, a bunch of you legit deserve a slap/punch/baseball bat to the face. The world doesn't owe you understanding. This is how stupid you sound right now: Family Guy Peter is ******** in the Women's Restroom People don't get free passes at the highlest level of a profesisonal sport because they might have a disability. RE: Pull The Curtain on Burton - NotBigzo - 12-16-2024 Not to mention that the idea that he has a disability is completely baseless by non professionals on the internet. |
