RE: 2025 NFL Combine Open Thread - NATI BENGALS - 02-27-2025 Damn it. For some reason I really want Harmon. Don’t need his stock going up. Mykel Williams, Mike Green, ShemarStewart, James Pearce Jr, and Nic Scourton. They didn't meet with Jack Sawyer or Jalon Walker. They met with LB Collin Oliver and he said the Bengals really liked him. That's not a good look. He better have a sub 1.6 10 yard split. As you can see he's towards the bottom hence we don't need another project. https://prnt.sc/QPA5FcdAjRas RE: 2025 NFL Combine Open Thread - bfine32 - 02-28-2025 (02-28-2025, 12:21 AM)pulses Wrote: Sure, Mims didn't have a lot of production, we drafted him on traits. Stewart's lack of sacks (not production) of course makes him a risk and I may prefer someone else at #17, but I'll bet you someone who gets paid to evaluate is taking note of those measurables. But I hope you would agree each pick in round in succession gets riskier. Murphy was pick #28, we have pick 17. To be it on context, if we traded down to 28 from 17, we would also get at least a 2nd round pick or 2 players for 1 draft pick. I think due to 2 QB's being taken who are not really top 17 picks in my humble opinion, but will get picked in top 6, we will get a true top 15 player. When you have a class like this that is loaded with proven production you take that every time. And the jury is still out on Mims he could be a bust as well. RE: 2025 NFL Combine Open Thread - Goalpost - 02-28-2025 Stewart's RAS score was the best ever since 1987. Out of 1802 DE's that have been tested, he ranked 1st. https://aggieswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/aggies/football/2025/02/27/shemar-stewart-nfl-scouting-combine-relative-athletic-score-2025-nfl-draft/80763233007/ RE: 2025 NFL Combine Open Thread - BigRed75 - 02-28-2025 After yesterday I like Jihaad Campbell even more. He has so much versatility and this defense is desperate need of a guy who can do multiple things. I still want Warren first if he’s still available but there’s very few defenders in this entire draft I like more than Campbell. I was able to get to a couple Collin Oliver games last night and I need to watch more but the testing shows up. I'm not worried about him not doing the agility drills either because it looked like he's every bit as smooth as he is twitchy. The Oklahoma game really showed his inexperience playing off the ball. And I'm not saying I want the Bengals to go Stewart at 17, but he did have as many sacks his first 3-Years as Adain Hutchinson, Hutch just blew up his 4th year and Stewart is entering the draft. A team (most teams?) will salivate over the measurables of Stewart and see a fantastic toy to polish. It will ultimately come down to the right team and coaches who can refine that piece of clay.
