RE: Burfict is So Smart - Vlad - 01-10-2016 Burfict the Bungle. Perfect fit. You guys had something good goin on this year, except that sooner or later you could count on one of your best players keeping the "bungle" stigma alive. It's down right stupid how many people are acting like Burfict's hit was the worst hit in the history of the league. Hits like that happen every week. Burfict will be fined and/or suspended. And so should Shazier. RE: Burfict is So Smart - 6andcounting - 01-10-2016 (01-10-2016, 04:29 AM)Aquapod770 Wrote: Yup. Get ready for 2016-17 and beyond of choking and losing and being embarrassed in the playoffs. That happened 2 or 3 times. If you are going to flag one that is close like the Williams hit, then flag the Gio hit and the Eifert hit. Or flag none of them. Wheaton was contacted in the helmet - partially because he ducked into, but that is irrelevant to the rule. Eifert wasn't and Gio wasn't a receiver. Wheaton was not contacted to the helmet at all, the helmet is clearly below it. Eifert was a hit to the head, but it does not matter as a defender can't launch. But, I have said my piece. I am out of the forum for a while to get back my sanity. RE: Burfict is So Smart - Bmoreblitz - 01-10-2016 Damn I've never seen so much f**** whining. Leading with the crown outside the tackle box is an automatic PF. Simply "launching" is no longer a foul in the NFL. Quote:ARTICLE 7. If you team was 7-3 in the playoffs in the last 6 seasons instead of 0-6, you might understand why your attempts to mock the Ravens for one bad season tend to not bother myself or Blitz. I know you won't understand. Bengals fans honestly think 6 straight playoff appearances with first round loses is better than winning the Super Bowl and having a losing season once afterwards. But, hey, I guess some of us care more about playoff success than regular season success. Ok...but they said he launched. Launching is not a foul. And from the same link: Quote:ARTICLE 8. INITIATING CONTACT WITH THE CROWN OF THE HELMET |
