Last year there were 1230 XP kicks with only 8 missed.

If that drops from 99% to 93% that will mean an additional 74 missses. That is an additional 2.3 per year per team. It is very likely that there will be a few games decided this year by missed XPs.

A lot of people keep bringing up that 93% number.

Does everybody realize that the number is including ball placement from the left hash to the right hash to everywhere in between?

It would be nice to see the % of field goals at that distance that were considered to be from the center of the field. It's not like they're going to play a quick game of roshambo to decide which part of the field the PAT is going to be kicked from.

I will continue to call it what it is and that is cheating.

The bottom line is that FGs from 35 yards out are made on a vastly greater scale than two point conversions are successful. The math is not that difficult.

If Marvin Lewis could figure out how to exploit the 2 pt conversion, within the letter of the rules, would you want him to use it?

True, but the fact that they'll be attempting far more of these 33 yarders in windy/rainy/snowy conditions in times where they normally wouldn't have considered a 33 yard FG will more than make up that difference, imo.

We'll see soon enough.
