I'll concede that you are probably right about Harrison not costing games. Not sure about him being better at his position. Harrison was excellent at his, no doubt. I think Burflict is too.

But, in true Bengal fashion, I think Burflict may be redeemable. Most sociopaths can be taught to obey the laws, as most see the benefit to themselves in that.

Disagree with Burfict being excellent.

As to the rest............good luck.  You haven't the organization nor the coaches for that type of turn around.

Like I mentioned to SCS, most sociopaths can be taught to obey the laws as most see the benefit to themselves in that.

But I concede that, if Vontaze doesn't make it as a Bengal, he probably won't play anywhere else in the NFL. At least as long as Marvin is in Cincy. Vontaze and Jones would literally take a bullet for Marvin. They know the franchise gave them a chance and that Marvin let them on the field to show what they could do.

Now, if we could only convince them to use their brains for Marvin.

His college coaches benched him for continually going out of his way to make dirty hits. At the combine, he blamed those coaches for his poor performances. A couple concussions later and I don't think this guy will be able to relearn how to spell his first name, let alone change the way he has always played. You don't think Marv knew his problems and have been trying to address them for the past 4 years already?

We've had good results with Chris Henry. And Adam Jones was doing really well until Saturday. Even then, unless I missed something, he was only out-of-line during the "Brown/Porter Incident".

Yeah. I do pack more than a mouthful. At least that is what your wife tells me anyway. Actually, she sort of gags it. ThumbsUp

RE: Vontaze... - Bengalzona - 01-13-2016

I will say this about Vontaze, and some of you won't like hearing it: As long as he continues the questionable or outright illegal stuff, you can't complain about the calls and fines against him that seem ridiculously out of line. That is the NFL's form of karma. This league lacks consistency in some of the officiating and penalizing. They try and compensate later. I watch so many games where one team seems to be getting a lot of penalties or a few questionable penalties called against them and the fans start to scream bloody murder. Then, a short while later, the refs start calling penalties against the other team for awhile. It always seems to go in spurts like that. No consistency.

RE: Vontaze... - Beaker - 01-13-2016

The truth about Vontaze is that steeler fans fear him.

RE: Vontaze... - rfaulk34 - 01-13-2016

Burfict will be playing at a DPOY level, next year.

Chew on that and let it marinate in your mouth for a bit.

Kind of like you do with my skeet.

Dirty Player Of the Year.  He won it this year too.

The hypocritical NFL (or it's network cronies) would never allow that to happen.  His suspension will be reduced on appeal, and the first matchup between the Steelers and Bengals will be in primetime when he returns...  Book it.
