The NFL is a bunch of hypocrites and could care less about player safety... You started off strong... Hell, Williams got flagged and he di d nothing wrong proving it was the intent of the refs to make sure the Steelers got all 50/50 calls, it was obvious. ...and then fell off the cliff with another conspiracy theory. Better check you "sources" inside the Bengals locker room. ![]() RE: SI.com's Peter King writes letter of caution to NFL players - Interceptor - 01-14-2016 (01-14-2016, 12:36 PM)Sociopathicsteelerfan Wrote: Now the jungle noobs are in here. NFL's tool. Don't worry the NFL will allow Shazier and Mitchell to continue doing what they do and they will put the hammer to Burfict. If I was a Steelers fan, I would be embarrassed to call Tomlin and Porter my coaches. And I seen the replay of the Burfict sack on Roethlisburger and I didn't see anything except that he thought he fumbled it. I guess I need to go watch it again. Honestly, I thought it was a good clean hit, I'm just tired of hearing about it all. Honestly, I thought it was a good clean hit, I'm just tired of hearing about it all. I've heard that one, too. If that's the case then the refs need to blow it dead as soon as someone like Roethlisberger is wrapped up because the only way he's going down is if you lift him and spike him (a penalty) or use your weight (also a penalty). Of course, that'd mean that all those play extentions that Ben is known for go out the window. The play was whistled dead but DeCastro "finished" the block all the way to the ground. I was fine with the no call but if the refs wanted to keep a tight rein on the players, maybe they SHOULD have thrown a flag. It was Ramone...or Romero...Romeo? I don't know his name. DeCastro was the one trying to gouge out Gilberry's eyes during the regular season. Honestly, I thought it was a good clean hit, I'm just tired of hearing about it all. It gets clicks though, and that is all the NFL and a scab like King care about. More clicks = more $$$ from advertisers. Player safety is just a phrase they like to use to avoid loosing money in courts to retired players. The NFL is the current version of Roman Gladiators, the combatants are just paid better. This type of game, just like the Patriots deflagate mess are wonderful for the NFL as a whole. They'll never admit that, but they love it. This creates a whole new subplot to keep people talking about the NFL instead of any other sport. People who want Burfict gone are going to be sadly let down. The NFL allows wife beaters to play, dog killers to play, rapist to play, murders to play, drug dealers to play, it's not about any moral high ground, it's about one thing only. Money. Regardless of franchise or fan belief, every team cares about one thing. Money, not you not me only how much support we show via $$$. Viewing it from a wide angle rather than the closeup that has been circulating certainly puts it in mor of a gray area, but given Butfict's history, I don't think it's unreasonable to look at that and think that he did knee him on purpose. I don't think anyone other than Bengal homers would rule out that possibility 100%. You guys just really suck at seeing the truth about your team because you're looking from the outside in. The stuff your organization is crying about having done to them is the stuff they've been doing for years. If you're used to living in the shadows, illumination is a real b-itch. The Steelers' method for playing the Bengals has long been to keep coming at them, keep up the heat and they will eventually fold. And for years, that's exactly what they would do. But now, it seems pretty clear they aren't backing down any more and your guys are having a terrible time coming to terms with that. Hence, the eye gouging and hair pulling and the taunting and coaches running onto the field and all the other crap. You wanna make it a brawl? Don't be so damn offended when the other guy brawls back.
