Glenn simply may not be comfortable taking snaps on the right side.  Hell, Whit talked about how hard it would be to move there after the Og/Fisher draft and he's arguably a HoF LT.  Not everyone can just reverse their technique like that.  

We also all saw Glenn struggle with outside speed rushers last year.  They could simply be kicking him inside to cover up that weakness.  

While Boling is technically sound, he's not the most physical drive blocker in the run game and sometimes gets blown off the LoS in pass protection.  Inside pressure kills Dalton, but he's shown he can step up and escape outside pressure if the pocket doesn't collapse.  The game plan may be to put the biggest uglies inside to ensure a good pocket for Dalton to work from.  If Jonah Williams is as advertised at LT and Glenn, Price, and Miller can secure the pocket, then they're free to use the TE's and RB's to help Hart/Boling at RT.

While none of those individual injuries have completely stopped him, the accumulative effect, compounded by the fact that he continued to play injured most of the time, those things take a toll and make a man age before his time.

I've seen good discussion on whether or not a lineman should be able to seamlessly transition to the other side or not. I don't have all of the pertinent information available to explain why, I just have the memory of Glenn not looking good on the right side.

Sounds like the plan even if Boling played better then Glenn last year, Glenn is healthy right now and he is bigger. Just wish Glenn would play with a meaner mentality, he was playing soft last year, hope Turner can get some nasty out of him. Doesn't matter how big you are if you play like a cupcake out there.

I know many talk about how great some of the lines have been in front of Andy Dalton over his years here and I would have to argue that with them. We have had some outstanding pass protecting lines no doubt about it. What we have not EVER had since Dalton has been here is a dominant run blocking line. Can you imagine the damage a guy like Joe Mixon would be able to do with a dominant run blocking line? Just think of a dominant run blocking line and Joe Mixon and what that would open up in the play action passing game when you have guys like Green, Boyd, and Eifert in the formation.
