Andre, Willie, Levi, Zeitler, really the only first round OL misses were Og and Price. The important thing is being able to ease him in gradually and coach him up. They were too stupid to realize he does not have to start this year. Howard is a moron. Yates had to tell them about Brown. He’s not raw though, just limited starts. The tape is excellent, and the guys he played against in practice are arguably better than anyone he played against in games. Mims will be alright, and could relegate Volson to the bench while Brown plays out his contract. CB1 runs a 4 5 40. Make up speed is huge for CB's. Obviously, the league scouts and GM's aren't as high on this CB class as the online scouting community. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - matmaven - 04-25-2024 Still trying to recover from Ced O, Eric Fisher, Billy Price, and Jackson Carman. Hope Mims turns out differently. Huge upside but a lot of risk. Boom or bust. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - bonesaw - 04-25-2024 so glad we went oline. those cb's aren't much better than the corners you can get in round 4. Mims is a rare breed ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - BenZoo2 - 04-25-2024 (04-25-2024, 11:21 PM)WeezyBengal Wrote: CB 1 was sitting there who would have come in and made an immediate impact. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - WhoDeyK - 04-25-2024 Mims was my pick in my what I think they’ll do mock. He’s screamed Bengals pick. He’s inexperienced but had all of the traits you could ever want with impressive but limited film. Personally I wish we’d fire Pollack and get someone in here who can actually develop talent because Mims has loads of it. I can't see Mims at Guard, with his size (height) he'd actually block Burrow from fully seeing the field.... RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - Fan_in_Kettering - 04-25-2024 I hope the Steelers pick a total bust. Exactly. Guys who are raw give up sacks because they get beat. He had limited snaps and sure has a lot to learn. But zero sacks in the SEC is zero sacks. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - ClarkHarris4Prez - 04-25-2024 I hate this pick. 3rd year in a row we take a player that AT BEST won’t contribute for a year, and THIS guy is going to be a bust. The ONE THING I did not want to hear out of our first round pick this year (ESPECIALLY ON O LINE) was “needs development.” When tf has Pollack EVER developed ANYONE on this line?? Fataunu was sitting there ready to step in and give us a massive upgrade at LG day one. WHY do we always make dumbass picks like this!? Will have as much of an effect on this season as I will. We have a ONE YEAR window in my opinion. After this year it’s going to be a slight reload. So pissed. We don't have that on the roster. Such a whiff. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - BoomerFan - 04-25-2024 (04-25-2024, 11:25 PM)ClarkHarris4Prez Wrote: and THIS guy is going to be a bust. I disagree. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - jj22 - 04-25-2024 The rest were projects or tweezers. We got the best “project” out of what was left of potential starters. And we got one that could be the best of the class. RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - Cosmokramer - 04-25-2024 Terrible. Not even Taylor, and our new found Super Bowl aspirations can get the bengals to trade up and get a potential day 1 starter who can contribute and keep the window open RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - SladeX - 04-25-2024 (04-25-2024, 11:23 PM)matmaven Wrote: Still trying to recover from Ced O, Eric Fisher, Billy Price, and Jackson Carman. Almost any pick can bust… RE: ***2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD*** - Nepa - 04-25-2024 If Mim hits, and develops, the Bengals will have a monster tackle for the future. But we have to sit on pins and needles until we know.
