If not, then it shouldn't be long after. Unfortunately, with something like site migration, there's no real way to get an exact time frame. If the migration isn't done in time for the game, I have a blog that I created a while back when I was looking for people here to be writers/contributors. I just haven't had the time to get it off the ground yet. We could do a gameday thread there if everyone wants - http://blog.thebengalsboard.com. You don't need to signup or anything.
Like I said though, hopefully it's good to go by gameday. Once we're on the cloud setup, and can be bounced between multiple servers...it should help eliminate the load issues we've had through the first 2 games.

I have some scripting experience if you need any help with that sort of stuff. I am not a database guy (I'm a network guy) so can't really help with that main part of it, but I can probably help getting some of your stuff automated.

I don't post very often, but I visit the board daily. Just want to thank you, Holic, for running the site and all the time and effort you put in to giving us a place to chat (and it's a damn fine place at that). Much better than the Mother Ship.

Added Note: The site migration will most likely be starting on Friday, and the goal is to be done by Sunday. However the techies that will be handling the move caution that it could be up to 3-5 days, if needed, to ensure that everything is done correctly and no data is lost in the process.
Also, I've gotten a few PM's asking if the url will change. The answer is no. We'll still be thebengalsboard.com. Once the migration starts, we'll just have to be patient until the site goes live again.
I've saved your Facebook and Twitter sites as Favorites in case of problems as when Bengals.com stopped Jungle Noise. One problem may be we all have to find your new site....and another may be having to set up a new account on a new site.....I'm hoping saving these 2 sites as Favorites you will provide the needed info as needed or if needed. ....Good luck on the computer changes. Yes, I look for you to be down a week like the computer techs are telling you. I worked in a bank once that went to a new computer. They hoped it would be a smooth transition. It was not. That bank was all messed up for weeks as the computer techs had to keep getting it online and get all the bugs out of the system. Now on your side though is this shouldn't be as difficult as a banks security banking system computer that reaches out to many banks.

Cool and yeah, we only had to shut down for a very short time.
The new servers should give us much better speed, load times and activity spike coverage...which should be thoroughly tested Sunday.
