What's up with that? I mean, we have Frogs, Limeys, Scots, Canucks, Aussies and even an Edelweisser. How's come no Krauts? Don't they like tigers? I was born in Norway, but my parents moved to America when I was just 6 to further their educations in their chosen fields. My own field of study led me to Germany and France to participate in different studies and projects. I am currently working in England. While living in the States, I was able to attend a handful of Bengals games with my father -- who became a Bengals fan while working at Thee Ohio State University for a couple of years. Although he is no longer with us, I continue to be a most avid fan. Who Dey my friend! I'm afraid my knowledge of Norwegian is limited solely to the phrase, "Uff da". Despite the limit of my vocabulary, though, my frequency of using the one phrase makes up for it! ![]() RE: A salute to our non-American Bengals fans! - BengalRed - 11-19-2018 (11-18-2018, 01:01 PM)JWW1971 Wrote: I will take you up on that mate, I have been wanting to visit Cincinnati and get to a game but I have never made it over yet.Any time. Used to listen to games on US forces radio, and watch weekly highlights on TV. Having gamepass to watch games now is such a luxury! Lost touch with NFL for about a decade but then was in Shanghai 13 years ago unable to sleep so turned on hotel TV and managed to watch the 2005 win at steelers with Palmer...from that point since been hooked again for better or worse :andy: RE: A salute to our non-American Bengals fans! - LondonWhoDey - 11-19-2018 Hello! Long time reader first time poster from London. Been a Bengals fan from 2013 when we were on Hard Knocks. I’ve seen them live once at Wembley, which was a fantastic experience. Also saw Dunlop and Peko in the flesh at a fan meet and greet that year. It’s amazing how my Sunday night can be ruined by a team 1,000’s of miles away! A french salad or chopped salad. The wife makes one on occasion. In reference to my post, it was just a regular green salad I was having, but with what we call french dressing. |
